I purchased this amp from you on 12/15 and even received it a day earlier than scheduled! ??. This little integrated I’d replacing a Yamaha Receiver and is paired with a Rega 2, Monitor Audio Bronze 2s, and a Monitor Audio Bronze 10” sub.The Monitor Audio Speakers can be bright but I knew that from previous experience. The Yamaha Receiver had to go. It just made the Monitor Audio speaker harsh, tinny, irritating, and well fatiguing!Through the Monitor Audio Group on Facebook I kept readin how the Marantz products softened the highs, gave the Midas warmth, and the lows a bit of punch. pm 730 & 950 are excellent value for the money. As prices for these early-mid '80s, made in Japan two channel units still have not taken off as they already have for the previous gens.. Powerful and with excellent, smooth Marantz sound, they also have excellent phono stages for both mm & mc. So these are great for the phono-enthusiast who is on a budget.

The Marantz PM 6007 arrived but upon unpacking I noticed that this was a B product PM-6007. I reached out and 1 week later I received a new Marantz PM-6007. I sent the B product back using the prepaid label that was sent to me as I requested. So far pretty good as I also had previously purchased the Marantz CD 6007 a few months earlier. I do have a question concerning proper cable connection of the CD to the PM -6007 to get the benefit of the DAC when playing CD's.. I have purchased many other products from MD Rega P3 and tons of Albums and album sleeves etc. etc.

I have had this integrated amp fora bout 2 years and it is amazing. The power rating shows 45 x 2 RMS but it is surely higher. It has no issues powering all kinds of speakers, including old Klipsch horn speakers and some old JBL L100s. The sub out is also a great addition as well.If I had one complaint, it's that there is no good visual indicator for volume. There is a small dimple but from more than a few feet away that is very hard to see. A small light would be ideal. Really not a big deal at all.Very well worth the money for a great stereo integrated amp from trusted brand.
Absolutely superb sound from this amplifier. Beautifully clear upper range, clear and defined mids and smooth and deep bass. The first thing i used with the amplifier was a 1969 LP of Abbey Road by the Beatles. For a music source 50 years old the clarity to which the Marantz gave really brought the music alive - a wonderful experience. Since then i've used CD and a streaming network player as sources and these just sound out of this World! From the Marantz spec sheet i was wondering whether 60W RMS power was going to provide enough music power to fill my 6m x 4m living room. As the power supply in the Marantz is very linear and is superbly Engineered it drives my KEF 500 floorstanders so well i have rarely used it up and beyond the 50% volume mark - this amplifier ... MoreAbsolutely superb sound from this amplifier. Bear in mind that back in 1998 or so this KI Signature version of the amplifier was retailing at 1,700 so you know you are getting a superbly designed product.
Wanted one of these way back in 1999 but could not afford the extra 600 for the modification at the time on top of the standard PM-17 of 1100. Wow!! was it worth waiting 17 years and get one at this price 595 and in an as "New" condition. Virtually no marks on the unit. The sound and presentation of the sound is both wide and deep. Bass well controlled, mid range and top so clear giving pinpoint accuracy on stage placement. Nothing wrong with the standard version but the mods do lift it way up the audiophile line. Most reviews give it a sound simular to but below that of a "Krell Kav 250a which costs 5500. So i am well pleased and would recommend this PM-17 Sig to anyone, but good hunting as not easy to find. Tim.
It was surprisingly difficult to find a product that would meet my needs in today's surround sound dominated audio world. I wanted a product that would give me great sound from a phono player. It also needed at least 2 sets of speaker connections since we listen to music in more than one room. Many products today only have one set of speaker connections, (although it could be 5 to 7 speakers, but I was looking for stereo) and can only serve one room. I also wanted a reasonable price for a name brand. This has more than met my needs and sounds great. It even has digital and woofer connections that I will probably never use but who knows.
When I first connected my CD6005 and Klipsch Fortes to this amp I almost put it right back in the box to return. The sound was heavily veiled and compressed, like the speakers were in a box. I put a CD on repeat for a day and came back and it was sounding better. Put another CD on and came back a day later and it was better still. Tuned the radio to noise and left it for another day and it sounded better still. I think it needs about 3 solid days of burn-in for the capacitors to work properly. People debate this but it was clear in this case. And I wasn't listening to it and getting used to it during this process. My system had been a Conrad-Johnson PV-5 into an older Marantz power amp, and initially the difference was night and day. And I wasn't listening to it and getting used to it during this process. My system had been a Conrad-Johnson PV-5 into an older Marantz power amp, and initially the difference was night and day. On the fourth day I invited my 30-something son to help me do blind A/B testing and neither of us preferred one system over the other and in fact they were quite similar. SO I kept it and sold the CJ.
I cannot recommend this integrated amplifier because it did not function. I do recommend ListenUp as they worked with me to try to address any obvious issues and quickly sent return documentation for me to send it back. I recommend ListenUp highly.
