I ordered the Marcato Atlas Pasta Drive Motor, which I love by the way. I'm actually using my pasta machine for polymer clay. This motor is a must!! Consiglio's had the best price and even though it was shipped from Canada to the US, I received it quickly!

I needed a replacement clamp for the pasta maker I bought. Sim my person of contact as always she been outstanding. Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable.
I had purchased my Marcato 150 pasta maker from Consiglio Kitchenware but my original drive motor from a vendor on Amazon. The motor spindle did not fit into the pasta maker but worked with the pasta cutters. Turns out the Amazon vendor was selling me an old version of the motor that did not fit the newest version of the pasta maker. In addition Consiglio Kitchenware sold the newer motor at a better price than Amazon.
The motor attachment is fantastic! Lets me handle pasta sheets with both hands and speeds up the process. Quieter than the KitchenAid, and the pasta maker is at a much better working height than a KitchenAid attachment.
My first batch of non-hand-cranked noodles came out great. Using bread flour + some VWG to up the protein content in my 39% hydration ramen noodles, I used the Pastadrive motor to run my Atlas Marcato 150 to help perform the kneading (after initial dough hydration rest), to sheet it out, and to cut it. On my batch of 6 150gram portions, I had no issues and it ran the kneading process just fine!
From the description I gathered the unit was all metal but alas it is not . I know this will not change how the motor works but I could have bought a plastic housing motor with the same specs for much less money. As I have only owned it 2 weeks a review of how well it works wouldn't be forth coming for about 6 months. After I have used it I will know better .
hooks on easy, runs good but on fine setting for wheat grinder it didnt have enough jam and stopped. I put it on setting 2 and it was good then put it on fine setting for another run through. Otherwise seems pretty good.
