Marmot Catalyst 3-Person Tent Red Sun Cascade Blue

We purchased one of these back in 2015. It was for my husband, myself, and our dogs. Since then, we've also added our daughter (3yro now).. This has been one of our best Marmot purchases, hands down. We use it quite often in the Colorado woods. It's easy to set up/ take down. The rain protection still holds up to this day. We were out last weekend and it poured on us. Everything stays dry. The dual doors are also a great perk. Just love this tent all around and would highly recommend!

My daughter took this tent for a six week archeological expedition in the desert in Kenya. She said it was great and that all of the rest of the team asked for details about it. They camped at each location for about 3 days before moving to the next site. -- She also said that it sets up and breaks down easy, it never collapses, and that the stakes that shipped with the tent worked in the desert soil.

I used this tent on a solo car camping trip and the tent worked very well. The tent is easy to setup, has two large doors for ventilation, heavier zippers and pockets in the interior. For backpacking or car camping the tent accommodates two people & gear easily. However, three people and gear would be somewhat cramped. The vestibule are is large as well.There was some condensation that developed overnight. I would recommend buying extra stakes and tying ropes to add tension to the rainfly for extra ventilation. The vestibule zippers worked very well but require extra reach. When the doors closed the interior light is darker than expected.The tent is a discontinued model with the footprint included. The tent is a great value!
