MX212A 2x12 inch CabThe Marshall MX212A is a vertically stacked 2x12 inch slanted cab that gives you big-time frequency projection and power handling without the hassle of lugging around a massive 4x12 inch rig. Loaded with a pair of Celestion Seventy 80 speakers, together rated at 160W, you'll be able to rock most venues with ease.

I had originally purchased a similar Fender Bassbreaker 15 setup, but was having issues with its effects loop and exchanged it for this Marshall equipment. I have the following comments:- I like the clean channel, whether I am using it for clean or a moderate amount of overdrive. However, the gain channel has so much gain/overdrive it is not useful to me. It would be good for playing serious metal, but not really for alternative rock or blues.- The 2 x 12 cabinet included in this package is 8 ohm. Multiple 8 ohm cabinets cannot be hooked up to the head. If a person wanted to run two cabinets, they would actually need to purchase two 16 ohm cabinets, and the one that came with this package would be useless.- The low end sound is not a nice as with the Bassbreaker.

All gigs and in the house (granted, turned down at home!) I'm a bass player but have always played with a mixture of both guitar and bass amps, variety is the spice of life, right? And some things can't do what others can. I mostly use the clean channel w/ pedals, since yes, the dirty channel it hot as balls as I'm sure you've heard if done done your research on this. (MXR junkie, w/ a Boss FZ-5, BF, & a DD wah). But I fully dig it. Playing it w/ a bass (especially my American Jazz) this thing is punchy and thumps like a MF. I bi-amp w/ an Ampeg Micro-VR in stereo and couldn't be more pleased. I'm 42 (can still bang 20 years olds! lol) and have had Edens, SVT's, GK's,etc. when I was young & touring alot., but their just not practical with all the great new stuff out ... MoreAll gigs and in the house (granted, turned down at home!) Not to mention, I can fit everything nicely in my car & not break my back. Don't let the 15 Tube watts fool you...it's LOUD. I actually think I like it better than the Micro (the Marshall tone plus w/12" speakers really make this thing growl) but together they sound like butter. I end with this: It's a great amp & don't let the 15 watts scare you...I would however, love to see them come out with a 40 watt version. But I'm fully satisfied with what I got. Everyone has different tastes, styles, etc, and this set up is working pretty darn well me for me!

This amp has the classic Marshall sounds and it is loud for 15 watts. It looks like a 100 watt half stack only slimmer which is I really like. Great bang for the buck.

great value solid construction
I have been playing guitar for over 35 years and this is the fourth Marshall amp I have bought and by far the best I have owned yet!! Sounds fantastic and very simple to use!! I have a Chorus and Delay that I use with it as they are my personal favorite effects. I think that any pedals or effects you like will only enhance the already great sound of this amplifier!! Well worth the money and I highly recommend it!!!
I was worried the 15W head wouldn't be enough but we usually have the volume at 4 and it's very loud.
The amp sounds great but was cheaply manufactured, it looks like marshalls are not what they used to be . and the service with this site is mediocre at best i will not be ahopping here again.
Its a very good quality made speaker cab but I ended up exchanging it for a larger 4x12 cab. The sound quality is excellent on the 2x12 so is good for small settings. But if you want to feel more beefy , def grab the 4x12 cabinet . Here's a pic of it coupled with a Boss Katana Mk2 head e
