2 stars for design is intricacy, but I’m incredibly disappointed in this lego set. Our son worked and saved for this set, and he can’t actually play with the Hulk Buster. The hip joints don’t stay locked enough to hold it in the upright position, and when trying to stand it back up or pose him and move him around in different positions the other pieces start breaking off and coming apart. I would expect such an intricate and time-consuming build to be functional. When you lock the hips he falls back. Even if you’re wanting something to put together and put on a shelf, the look of Hulk Buster even misses the mark, as other reviews said. Don’t purchase if you kid likes to play with their lego creation.

Figure articulates well. Head section does not snap together to midsection. Slides off splined rod that is inserted from underneath. Knee joints easily come apart while using making it terrible for play. Knee and hip joints are loose and hands are heavy so its difficult to position as model. Top heavy so it will fall over when trying to lean it forward to see the smashed head.

There are like 200,000 MCU characters and yet 40% of all LEGO sets from Marvel include mechs. It's not Pacific Rim, right? I mean, did i miss a credits scene in one of the Thor movies where Hemsworth rocks a giant robot? How about more awesome ships and vehicles.

For $40 you are actually getting a good value with the price coming in at $.08 per part. The build is both sturdy and swooshable with the exception of the little turret. We also get more minions and with 4 figures this set feels very nice.CONS: It has stickers so it isn't perfect. The only two bad things I can say are it should have included the Hulk or a villain not just minions. The second is that this set comes with the less popular armor helmets. I have a teen boy at home that has always loved legos. He is also a huge Iron man fan so when he saw this set he was very excited. He has been working on it daily for the last week or so and is almost done with it. The instructions are not the best but with some thought and figuring things out its not super hard. I am impressed with how big the iron man is and the little guy that sits in it is so cute. I think this set would be a little hard for a beginner but its perfect for any kid who loves legos and a challenge.
I enjoyed putting this piece together with my son and he was very appreciative of the time we spent together. He loves the marvel avengers movies and any one with super heroes so when i saw this piece i jumped for it. It comes with a manual that gives the steps to creating this masterpiece and it was easy to put together. My son loved playing with it even before it was done. Very good to keep the kids busy. Could be given as a birthday or Christmas present.

I looked it up and it looks ok in the pictures, but that is because the head is forward facing. This one looks like Mario jumped on his head and squashed his head into the cavity of his chest. He looks completely headless on display (my iron man display is at eye level). Build is blocky and not nearly as sleek as the concept art from the comics. Looks nothing like the one in the video game but I dont mind.What I do mind is that this only has one unique figure. Come on Lego I see what you did here. Doubt it would have been too hard to make him battle damaged or dirty at the very least. A little variation on the AIM agents would be nice as well.I do not like the new Iron Man/Rescue mask. It looks and feels cheap compared to the old one. It made sense for the Invincible iron man and maybe even Mk1, but this feels and looks cheap next to the old mask. Lego just made an Iron Man bust so they are aware that adults like Iron Man too. Why did you kidify Iron Man then? At least give us adult level sets with the good mask!If I stop collecting Iron Man it will be because of the new mask. It doesn't look right and you know it.
The figures are good. I like the Rescue and even though Aim Agents and Iron Man are in other sets they do belong and the sets iron man has been in weren’t that good. Besides that there is literally nothing I like about this set. The cannon always falls off and I don’t even play with it, it looks weird, and something about the build makes it so tiresome and boring to completes. He isn’t that flexible and all the pieces that make him not flexible always fall off. This is by far the worst iron man Mech set. My rankings go 8. 2020 Hulkbuster 7. Iron Man Mech 6. Igor 5. Sikkar Hulkbuster 4. War Machine Buster 3. Iron Monger 2. 2015 Hulkbuster 1. 2018 Hulkbuster. I don’t count the D2C one because it’s too more detailed and so much bigger.
This set looks terrible! Why is the head of the Hulkbuster so flat? Besides that, the fig selection would be great if the iron man and rescue figs had good helmets. These new helmets are terrible, and make it so I have to replace them with old ones. In this set, however, the rescue red color does not match with any old helmets, so I'm stuck with an ugly suit of armor. The Aim agents are a fine minion fig, and the rest of the Hulkbuster is fine for the price. Fix those helmets! I'm trying to complete a full hall of armor and this is one of the worst additions.
My son received the kit for Christmas as it had been on his wish list since he first saw it and though he is younger than the recommended age he has made several kits for ages 7+Whilst it took him several hours of a few days he completed it.The problem is that the model is somewhat fragile. He’s found that the toes and fingers fall off with the slightest touch, with other parts on the shoulder also coming lose when being moved.The result is not positive as it results in frustrations for him as us. With him spending more time reassembling it than playing with it, especially annoying since he’d been looking forward to it.
