Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Xbox One

Item arrives in good condition with bubble wrapped & inside a makeshift carton box. Shipping took a while (as always here on PixelPlay) but its worth the wait & the item that I receive is a sealed one. A fun romp where the story and dialogue is let down by the game

That's not saying it's not worth playing. The dialogue is snappy and entertaining as we've come to expect from GotG. However the technical game play is let down in particular by strange pathing issues and clunky mechanics. More time could have been spent on these things which make the game feel like it was rushed in its game play execution. If you can get past these glitches, which for me on my PS4, meant several instances where I was genuinely concerned I was trapped in a game breaking loop of auto save death traps - then the look of this game and the story is very fun and beautiful.

Amazing game and awesome story!

One of the best single player games I've played in a long time. The gameplay and action was awesome with an excellent storyline. The candor between the characters was hilarious. I really hope they make a sequel to this game. I've played through it twice and it was awesome the second play through also. Can't recommend this game enough and $15 is an absolute steal!

If you are doubting like I was.. GET THIS GAME.

Is it a perfect game no. But I will say my expectations from this game being that it's from eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix was very very low. Like I wasn't even going to bother with it. But upon hearing the rave reviews I decided to give this a try. As a single player open world ARPG offline gamer that does absolutely no online multiplayer at all and likes FEW Linear games I can say I WAS WRONG ABOUT THIS GAME.. It is absolutely fantastically FUN. I am not much for team battling but this was GREAT.. I fully 100% recommend this. Even predominantly online multiplayer Gamers like Call of Duty/Fortnite and Esports gamers will like this one. Graphics on it are pretty amazing not perfect some slight bugs an Hiccups. Must buy if you are a Guardians of the Galaxy fan

This game was more fun than anticipated! The gameplay is fun, nothing really original, but it is fun being able to use all of the different characters for battles. The soundtrack is what you would expect, awesome! Graphics didn’t disappoint, and the storyline rocks!

My order did arrive with the steel book.As for the game itself: I was pleasantly surprised overall. Granted, I went in with zero expectations but figured for $25, what do I have to lose? The game is an excellent single player story campaign…when you’re not sitting through unskippable cutscenes. Gameplay is satisfying, if a little cumbersome. The battles become an exercise in your hands’ joints as you try to hold L2, R2, press the left stick in, and press circle. Graphics are top notch and the recent ray tracing update is simply beautiful. The soundtrack is amazing — the devs really put some care into making an authentic experience and put some coin behind these licenses! The banter between the guardians is clever and funny. Surprising fun. Rocking soundtrack. Simple gameplay.

First off, the game was in excellent condition. It shows that DKoldies delivers on its promise of providing a ready to play product with exceptional value. Then, the game is surprisingly fun to play. From the beginning to the end, the storyline is brilliant. The soundtrack is rocking from song to song and scene to scene. Finally, the gameplay is simple yet amazing. I couldn’t think of a better way to experience a fresh take on the guardians.

[Rewarded Review] Could have been 5 stars if RT was on @ 60fps

I played this game, when it first released, on pc GamePass so I could take advantage of RT at 60fps or higher and loved the game. The story is decent, some of the voice acting could have been better, especially Drax's, he comes off too stiff at times that seem to not fit his character as he's portrayed in this. The pacing was good and I never felt game fatigue with this one. I waited awhile to purchase the game for the Series X in hopes they would patch in a RT on/60fps mode but they didn't. They did improve the performance of it, just not to 60 constant. Hard Yes

[Rewarded Review] Feels like the movies

Character interactions feel like they could be in the movies. Really well done. The graphics are great and the gameplay is fun. Any marvel fan who likes the guardians of the galaxy movies will definitely enjoy it. I feel like its the best marvel game done in quite a while.
