I needed a box to leave a key for various contractors at a new house. This one worked perfectly. Easy to adjust the size of the shackle and easy to set and reset the lock code. One caveat I'd add is that it was used under a porch roof, so I didn't test how waterproof it was.

Love that it easily holds a set of keys, cards, and fobs. Reset combination in a snap. Dials are protected from weather. Adjustable hanger can be fully removed, secured on all kinds of handles, doors, fences, then cinched up tight. Excellent quality for a reasonable price.

I purchased this for my mother’s apartment door which has a lever handle rather than knob. This lock worked exactly as I needed. I was able to tighten the lock around the door’s lever handle and it does not impede the opening and closing of the door, yet remains totally secured in place.
I was sent this Master Lock model 5420D to tryout. It was easy to reprogram. At first I didn't know what I would do with it. After I thought about it I knew I could really use it on my camper because I'm always worried about my keys when we are out camping. I also thought I could use it to put things in if I wasn't going to be home for other people to pickup. Looking forward to using it this coming summer.
I originally purchased the Master Lock Push Button Lock Box, but returned it to get this Combination Lock Box due to more interior space (to fit an automotive key fob inside). Apparently the combo lock mechanism takes up less space inside the lock box assembly (compared to the push button style box) and allowed for a little more interior space.
I'm a realtor and use these lockboxes quite often. The challenge we typically have is that the door handle has to be a round door handle to keep the lockbox from sliding out. But with this new change in how tight we can make it, we can make it snug and tight on even a lever style door handle. Great innovation!
I am impressed with the quality of this product. It has a good protective cover with a solid hinge. The dials are easy to turn. The setup was super easy. It is easy to install and use. It was competitively priced.
The size and shape of the shackle fits every style of door handle I've tried so far, plus iron railings and spindles, and other areas where you might need to securely store a key. No worries about weather, the box is protected and tough! Changing the code is VERY simple.
I appreciate that it is a trusted Master Lock, but especially that it can be mounted on various styles of doorknobs/handles. My first use was hanging it on the porch light, and the next was on the lawn pump plumbing.
