Add on camera to my NVR8580 system. Initially the system would not recognize the camera. Carl from Swann advised me my MVR firmware needed updating and walked me thru the process. It takes a few hours to get thru the process but in the end the camera functions as expected. Be aware that the firmware updates will change your NVR menu and there is a learning curve to this. I strongly advise reviewing the Swann site for "locating your firmware version" and, if it's not the 2020 version, review the "updating your NVR firmware" advisory to see if you're up to the task.

Bought this camera to add to system recently purchased. from Currys shop. Unfortunately didn't read the full spec......Big mistake on our part... being not over familiar with internet buying. Found it isn't compatibile and now Swann refuse to refund even though packaging is in near perfect order (obviously had to be opened and resealed)

I purchased this camera and realised it was not compatible with my system, swan support said, they would send instruction with in 24hrs to send it back, and would refund, I have had no instruction after 2 weeks, contacting again they now say they will not refund as the item has been opened.I am going to take this further with the backing of my credit card and financial ombudsman
