Bought a bottle to go with our Sunday roast dinner, as I remember loving Mateus wine years ago whilst on holiday to Portugal .... I've had various rose wine and to be absolutely honestly, this wine is the absolute best. Would definitely recommend, it doesn't taste like cork as a previous reviewer stated. Definitely stocking up on this wine for Xmas. FIVE STARS!!!!

Excellent refreshing easy-drinking rosé. Bargain. I buy every week.
Always have a couple of bottles in my fridge just in case friends drop in.Lovely to have a chilled glass on a summer day.Lovely with food or on its own!
Price varies considerably for this wine, was good value when I bought 6. Unfortunately FirstChoice seem to have stopped keeping it in there cold rooms. Not sure why but regardless it’s a nice drop.
Mateus Rose always maintains an excellent quality standard . It is a superb drinking wine which caters to all tastes. It has a reasonably high alcoholic content - which in this particular case adds to the enjoyment. As a long term partaker of this excellent imported wine - the only issues are that prices have increased . However shop around (? E Bay) and you can find bottles for as little as $10 compared to some bottle shops charging up to $15.
Last time I had this was a couple of years ago and it was slightly sparkling ,sweet and juicy but not now.Pretty dry,flat and sharp.
Most rose a too sweet for me but Mateus rose has just the right mix of zing and sweetness. Improved from the original Mateus rose.
Very good wine for the price I paid for. My mother in law even likes the bottles for her tomato sauces that she is making.
