What an incredible pair of sunglasses. Needed to replace a 12 year old pair of Revo's. Cant even compare. The Maui's are so crisp. Being a migraine sufferer i need a larger wrap frame. These don't let the sun get near my eyes. I got the HCL bronze lens on the dark brown frame. Super sharp looking. Great in bright light and low light situations. Maui Jim user for life

Best glasses ever

I have owned and used dozens of sunglass brands over the past 6 decades. These are hands down the very best I have seen to date. Outstanding polarization, perfect optical clarity, superb UV and glare protection are just a few of the superlatives that spring to mind. The frames are extra comfortable on my larger face. Highest possible recommendation. PK

Blue Hawaiian

I'll admit that the lenses were a bit more mirrored than I expected. That was the only surprise. I love the shade of blue on the frame and the lenses. This was the first pair I've seen with stripes on the frames and I couldn't resist. They look great on me and go very well with my blue eyes. It was a great decision.

Great Buy

Great light glasses, love the coverage and wrap around feel. Put prescription rose/lava color, with glare coat top and bottom of lenses.My last pair of Maui Jim's was set up the same way.I think these will be great glasses with the same high quality Maui lenses construction. Much lighter frame than my last metal framed Maui's. I do wish they were not straight armed. I prefer arms that wrap around the back of my ear. It's to bad they don't have options on the arm configuration.

I have a wide face I guess.

First of all beautiful glasses and it’s constructed well. The lenses do their job and they are probably the best sunglasses I’ve owned.The only issue is my face is a little wider and that’s I think the widest sunglasses I can get through Maui Jim.Otherwise they will fit the majority of people and be awesome sunglasses.

Killer sunglasses

The best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned!! I get compliments everyday about them! Not only do they look awesome the lenses work so great in the snow here in Colorado. They totally kill the rays that bounce off the snow o. The sloaps. Would recommend Maui Jim's to anyone!

NICE SUNGLASSES

I really like these sunglasses. They're very light weight and fit well (medium-sized face). I like the blue lenses which afford good clarity. I also think they're attractive. Most importantly, my wife likes them on me, even though she didn't pick them out - as she does most of my sunglasses.

So close!

I had high hopes for these since I've been dying for the Makoa but with glass Hawaii Lava lenses. The lenses are awesome but I just don't like the frames unfortunately. The main thing I don't like is the hinges because when you fold in the arms the plastic rubs together and makes noise which makes them seem cheaper than they are. I like the hinges on the Makoa and Cruzem much better. The other two issues are more minor and would probably fade away after some time but I don't like the translucent red in the frame because it glows when the sun hits it and I can see it. I also don't like that the arms touch my temples. So I have returned these because I like the Makoa and Cruzem better.

Wrong Case

The sunglasses are nice. They are a bit snug but not bad and full disclosure, I have a fat head. My rating us based my issue with the very nice collapsing case that was sent. Nice to see Maui Jim has taken lessons from others that supply the trifold case. My issue is the case sent with my glasses do not fit in the case. Not sure if they only have one size or what, but its my biggest gripe with these.

fantastic optics, very slight ghosting

this is my second pair of MJs (I had the haleakalas too).1. high quality MJ optics as expected. the glass is really nice!2. I have a giant head. and this looks great on them...its hard for me to find glasses that look okay.3. I run a lot, and they stay just fine on my head while I run (a key feature for me).4. I concur with some of the other reviews about the very slight red ghosting toward the edges (this dropped it from 5 stars to 4)
