I am giving this 3 stars because of my frustration. I ordered the Blue Black Stipe Frame with Green lenses.1st pair came in and was excited. The sunglasses came in a plastic foam sleeve insides a Maui Jim box. The case and cleaning cloth folded below sunglasses. I tried the pair on and noticed smudges on the lens. I got the provided cleaning cloth and wiped the smudges off. I went out side to test them out and noticed specks on the lenses. I tried to clean them off and they would not come off. I looked closer and noticed the mirror green finish was missing in tiny specks all around the lens.Went through RMA process and 2nd pair came in a few days later. Cleaned them and tried on again. No issues at that time. Looked closely again and found same problem on right lens near Maui Jim logo. Not going to be that picky as the Mau Jim logo is more noticeable in field of view. Then found another spot on the left lens near the bottom. This time it was on the eye side that had the problem and not the side others can see.Was thinking it was the foam plastic sleeve but not sure after finding the problem on inside lens side. Not going to RMA this pair due to not in field of view but very frustrating to spend $200+ on a pair of sunglasses and get same problem on 2 pairs.Found a 3rd spot close to frame trying to get pictures.Love the look and the lens color though.

I'm buying my 3rd pair. I still ha e the previous 2 and wear my 1st pair everyday my 2nd pair have my prescription in them and my 3rd pair are for my pickup truck so I can have a set in all of my vehicles 2 pickups and my Dump Truck. So if you're considering these glasses stop and buy them you won't be disappointed with them ever take from a guy that has 3 pair and by the way they've fixed my 1st pair 2 times frame 1 lenses 1. Reasonably priced repair service I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I fish Lake Erie it has apair of 178s in it but I recommend a strap. I've laid them down a time or 2 and almost lost them. So get a strap for them Great Glasses period. Tony M.

I bought these Onshores as a replacement for the Maui Jim Red Sands. I like these better for the reasons below, may this will help you decide between the two.1. Red Sands have a 6-degree base curve, Onshores have 8. This results in less of a gap between the outer edges and the side of your face, less sun gets in behind the lens.2. Onshores have a much thicker frame and heavier frame and weighs in at 38g, Red Sands are much lighter at 19g, nearly double the weight but not at all noticeable on the face when comparing the two.3. The Onshore has a slightly smaller lens size, accompanied by a thicker frame, they look more classic in my opinion.4. These lenses are incredible. Directly comparing to my ray ban or Oakley lenses, they are noticeable clearer and better quality polarizing. I didn’t end up keeping these because the size was too big. Had the size been smaller I would 100% have. Will try different ones in the future.
Years ago I wanted the Olive Stripe but could not find them locally and they were sold out online. I settled for the Blue frames. I went on to purchase the Brown and Black and during the pandemic came upon the Olive frames while visiting Florida.I now own these in each of the frame colors.Happy to see that they are back in stock and available for purchase.
I love the frame style and optics on these. I wear mine for inshore boat fishing and everyday driving. The fitment is good although feels a bit heavy on my nose after wearing it all day on the boat. Not sure if it's just my pair but my frame does feel rickety and loose. I wished the frame came in a tortoise or solid color. I think the color stripe fade on these are tacky.
I made the purchase this morning and I absolutely love them. My eyes are ultra sensitive to light due to some vision issues. These are making my life so much better. I drive for a living, fish and moto for hobbies, so outdoors is very much a part of my everyday. I’ve been wearing Costa Del Mars since 2007 when the family and I moved to the Gulf of Mexico. After this purchase I am a Maui Jim customer for life.
I have the blue onshores. The packaging was a joke. The glasses were in a thin plastic baggie loos inside of a cardboard box with a trifold case folded and bouncing around in the box with them. The frames are super lightweight almost cheapy feeling. The Maui Jim logo is painted in the corner just like fake ones. The hinge screws are cheap flat head screws. The lenses are basically clear, very little tint. The fit is ok. I’ve had many too brand sunglasses and these are a disappointment. Did MJ ownership change? These are the same price but obviously less quality and mass produced. Disappointed dad.
Was very excited to get my 4th pair of Maui's. That quickly went away when I opened the box. These are such a disappointment. The fit is supposed to be "large" they are not! The lenses, are these even sunglasses? They are practically clear! I own another pair that have the "Maui Blue" tint and they are excellent, very dark. These are almost clear, you can see right through them even in a dark room. They are literally not sunglasses! Lastly, how dare Maui give customers this cheap cardboard junk "trifold" case. $300+ for sunglasses and this is what you send? Maui used to have the best cases! This thing is useless! If I wasn't returning these junk glasses, the case would go straight in the trash. What a shame. I swore by Maui, but this is a shocking turn in quality. I recently got a pair of these and I have to say, they are the best sunglasses I’ve ever worn. They have incredible build quality and the polarization is amazing. Colors have never been more vibrant! I wear these with pride and I highly recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a new pair.
