This was a replacement for my Maui Jim Stingrays which I loved and had had for many years until I sat on them! The size and shape of the replacement pair is identical to the original but the new pair are definitely much lighter in weight (I weighed them to check) and sadly these feel much cheaper.The case too has been down sized so it looks like the accountants in head office have been paring back costs. Great pity as they feel much less special for a pair of shades costing over £200.Having looked around after I bought these there are many other brands that offer better quality.

I've had a pair of polarized Stingrays since 2011/2012. They have protected my eyes all over the world while doing many activities ie kayaking, swimming, hiking etc while still enjoying all the vibrant colors of nature. Frame construction is top notch, never had an issue other than the Maui Jim logo being erased over time . The lenses latest a long time as I took very good care of them(only minor marks on inside of lens). But sadly on 10 March 2023 they have become a permanent resident on the beaches if Punta Cana. These were the first pair of expensive sunglasses I ever but they were absolutely worth it and I will be buying a new pair.

Recently purchased my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses (Stingray-Tortoise Shell frame, bronze lens-prescription). Amazing clarity, but definitely not for bright/direct sunlight.I'll use them for golf and every day.The contrast with this lens is great. Had I done a little more research, I may have purchased the Maui HT green lens, as it has more contrast for golf. I have a small face, and the frame fits great.I do have to get them tightened up a little.I've put a pair with mirrored lenses (for driving and the beach) on my Christmas list. Couldn't be happier with the product or customer service, Thanks

I have had my Stingrays since 2007. The logo is gone but the glasses remain solid. Very slight scratches after 16 yrs that you can't see when wearing. I have kayaked some 31,000 nautical miles with these in salt water conditions. I circumnavigated SE Alaska while wearing them. Plus countless other trips all over. Built like a tank, solid frames. You can also send them in and get new lenses for a small price. Will not go outside without them on. Love the neutral. As a photographer, will allow you to see pure colors and not tinted.
Just received my Stingray sunglasses with 1.5 readers. They are awesome! I already had two pairs of Stingray sunglasses without readers but now I need the readers. The readers are perfectly positioned at the bottom of the lenses and don't interfere with looking straight out. Now I don't always have to switch glasses when I stop to check email or other messages. And although they probably are not lighter than my original Stingray glasses they sure feel lighter. I bought my other Stingray sunglasses 10 yrs ago. They still look new! And I love the case that came with my new sunglasses. Very cool design.
The Maui Stingrays are my first pair of Maui Jim Sunglasses. I purchased them right after my cataract surgery. A friend had a pair for a while now and I coveted them immediately. My only complaint is with the included tri-fold case. My friend received a very nice case when she bought hers and I was disappointed that Maui Jim changed to an all but unusable design - hence my lower "Value of Product" rating. Maui Jim - please bring back the better cases.
Beautiful sun glasses! Very dark, very comfortable and very best eye protection even for the side of your eyes. I have tried so many other sunglasses but I always come back to these, so I now have three of them! I have the black with the grey lens as I think the grey lens is the darkest. I am a 61 year old female with an average size head and never needed to adjust these. They truly are unisex as they would look great on a man. Superior protection and extremely comfortable. I always hope they continue to make these. Perfection!
I ordered a pair of Stingray prescription sunglasses today. This will be at least my 6th pair as I have order the Stingray with each prescription change for about 15 years. The fit is great and they are light weight. Sadly I recently wore one pair swimming in our pool and either the chlorine or salt water damaged the finish on the lens so be careful where you wear them. My eyes are light sensitive and I have floaters in one eye so I wear sunglasses whenever I go outside during daylight. The polarized lens cut out the glare on bright days. They fit well at the eyebrows too which eliminates light glaring in from the top. I absolutely love these and hope they never discontinue this style. Not real heavy but noticeable from the weight of lens.They fit my face but spring hinges put pressure that hurt my head behind my ears. Hoping it eases up with wearing.But I looked closer and realized these must have been a pair someone sent back as they had finger prints and 2 pieces of hair on lens area. AWESOME PRODUCT! I only wear MJ’s because of the consistent quality and 5 star customer service; especially when repairs are needed. LOVE the option in picking my own lens color for these frames. These are great for fishing and provide an immediate on the water advantage. These MJ’s are just as important as the fishing tackle/platform e.g., an important tool to help enhance improved outcomes. Light and easy to wear. Worth it? Oh yes!
