Maui Jim Sunglasses Guardrails 327-17 Silver/Blue - Grey

Great glasses as always! The only issue for me personally is they are a little bit larger and clunkier than I thought they would be. For someone with a larger face, probably would be just perfect. But the lenses are excellent (got the blue) and the quality of the frame is as well. very solid feeling and fits snug but not too tight to the head.

Love the style of these Aviators. I’ve always wanted these classic sunglasses. Finally I have them and am thrilled. Living in the islands, sailing \& outside adventures when I was in college \& foolishly NOT wearing sunglasses damaged my pupils.Optometrist said I must wear sunglasses \& I need to as I have super sensitive light issues. These glasses take care of this wonderfully. Maui Jim’s are the best.

Best sunglasses ever! Beautiful and functional!

I’ve never owned a nice pair of sunglasses in my life. I have tried on other expensive pairs before but I couldn’t understand why anyone would pay hundreds for a pair of sunglasses until I got my Maui Jim Guardrails! Not only are they beautiful but they are also very comfortable. The lenses are phenomenal! They make everything look crystal clear!I got the copper frame and I’m happy I did. They go really well with my blonde hair. The copper is very subdued and not too flashy. The size is perfect. I tried on the Baby Beach frames but they were a little too small. The other aviator frames were a little too big. These were the perfect fit. Excellent Glasses!

I've been a long time proponent of a different brand. I had a buddy always rave about his Maui Jim's. First pair I bought were the Pokowai Arch (translucent gray frames, blue lenses) OMG! Absolutely amazing, crisp clear detail, lightweight, great in BRIGHT light and for those hazy or cloudier days that are still bright. A couple months went by and I really wanted a pair of "dressier" frames, for those times I'm dressed a little more serious. I struggle with "bigger" frames on my face though, always preferred the look of a smaller frame. I also never loved that most aviator frames have thinner side pieces that reach behind the ear. The Guardrails are perfect! I have the silver frame with Neutral Gray lenses. Lenses are great for BRIGHT light, days that are hazy or cloudy I switch to my others just because the Neutral Gray lenses just filter out more of the bright light so everything is darker. But the clarity is phenomenal! The frames feel really well balanced, most aviators are frame / lens heavy, which pinch down on your nose. The Guardrails with the thicker side pieces and lighter lens material just feel really good!I'm a bit of a sunglass nut, so this makes 2 pair of MJ's....I'm thinking there will be more in my future.

Great Quality, too dark

I am a first time Maui Jim buyer and got attracted by the flexible frames after a friend of mine fell down while riding a motor cycle and simply 'bent' his sunglasses back to shape. After a few months of contemplating on buying such an expensive pair of shades, I decided to take the leap and purchased the guardrails with black frames and gloss black lens. The sunglasses look pretty cool especially with the two tone lens however the are a tad bit too dark. While they are lightweight, fit my head well, and amazingly tend to stay on even after some moderate to rough head movement. my eyes have been aching after long periods of wear. I also cannot read messages on my cell phone due to the dark tint and have to take them off to read messages. I heard that customer service was pretty good but what do you do when you discover the sun glasses you planned for are just not working out as well as you thought they would? Feel like I just wasted 300+ dollars.

Great for most

Masculine shape great color and probably perfect for most men. They are very flexible between the lenses and will take some getting used to but it’s normal for the guardrails. I did have a problem with light coming in from the top and after adjusting with the Optician at my Dr office it still was an issue. I contacted MJ and customer service was very responsive. I did send them back but also purchased a different pair. I am in the sun or in and out of my car for most of the day and need the total coverage. I will be a loyal customer and continue to champion this brand to all the people I know.

I’ve owned all of the major brands and you can’t beat Maui Jim Guardrails.

I bought my pair of Maui Jim Guardrails nearly two years ago and they are the most comfortable sunglasses that I’ve ever owned! They are the ONLY sunglasses that have fit me like they were custom made for my face.They have gotten lots of use, almost daily, and the only problems that I’ve had is that one of the temple pieces the outer cover separated from the metal inner frame, a drop of super glue and I was back in business. Just today I lost a nose cushion and came onto the site to see if I could order new ones and to my surprise they provide a replacement pair for free!

Light weight with great features!

This pair was a birthday present for my brother! I do own four other pair and wear at least one every day! I am male and have a smaller face and head. I am retired USAF. i wore military sunglasses for more than twenty years. Those have a nice aviator look but are heavy and surprisingly not polarized. The Guardrail has the aviator style and polarization, without the weight! They are more comfortable and functionable! Why do I have four pair? The frames are suitable for prescription. The frames "learn" your face which adds to your comfort. I had issues with one pair, I lost a screw, and the arm became lost! I sent them in, with the original lens, and they repaired the arm. Who else does that? First class product! Do I like them? No, I LOVE them!

Love at First Sight...

I chanced upon a pair of the Silver and Grey lens Guardrails at an airport Duty Free shop and it was love at first sight. I already had three pairs of Cliffhouse and on pair of Wiki Wiki on rotation, but the Guardrails were even better. I ended up getting a pair of the Gloss Black Guardrails, too. Light, comfortable, lazer sharp, and a really cool design. Recommended.

Super strong and lightweight

The Guardrails are the best sunglasses that I have ever owned. The pictures don't do them justice but they have an awesome gradient that runs across the lens, adding a lot of style and personality. The rubber nose pads are a big plus for me. Even with all kinds of movement, they stay in place and are really comfortable. But my favorite part is how strong and lightweight they are. The "flex-metal" design that Maui Jim has created is a big winner. You can twist these things and they always come back to their original shape. I have only owned them for a short amount of time but I use them EVERYWHERE!I race trucks for a living, so I do a lot of traveling.
