I love the consistency of Maurten and how easy it is to digest during faster tempo runs on my GI tract. I have never had stomach issues while using this product. I am ready to keep pushing the pace properly, timing the intake of my Mauretn gels while running a marathon. It's super easy to hold during runs and easy to open during faster runs as well. I'm a massive fan of the CAF gel & the non-caffeinated hydrogel sports fuel. I alternated between the two while breaking three hours running the 20223 Chicago marathon! The mixture worked so well for me! I'm grateful to have such a great product!

The product is fantastic. It is better than any other calorie gel I've ever had. It goes down easier, and doesn't upset the stomach in any way and I have U.C., so my stomach is extremely sensitive to what goes in there. My only complaint is that it costs far too much. You get very little for the price compared to other competitors. I'm hoping this product encourages more competition in this space because I do find these to be overpriced.

Usually I have rot gut after a 20+ miler, but that doesn’t happen with Maurtens. The caffeinated one is a little bitter, but it’s certainly not the worst gel I’ve ever had. Low on sodium and I am a salty sweater, so I have to make sure I get an LMNT the night before and afterwards, but that’s manageable. And I like that it’s not flavored and just tastes like powdered sugar - I like the simplicity. Just a really nice product.
I tried multiple gels and do like them however get sickly after a while.These gels are a thicker consistency so find they are easily to take. The taste isnt mega sweet so isnt sickly, reminds me of a slightly sweet caramel/fudge flavour.Have used them in races and training and never had any issues at all.Also they are really easy to open to no getting covered in gel when running,

The texture is very different from other gels I've tried but I find them much easier to take on the run due to the thicker consistency. Have only tried them on training runs so far but have had no digestive issues and they definitely help with energy levels. Lastly, I find them very easy to open on the move without getting the gel everywhere like other brands I've tried. The only slight negative is that the tab is too easy to tear off completely - manufacturers could easily adapt the packaging so that the tab doesn't break off completely thus avoiding pits of packaging ... Like some gels on the market they are sweet and gooey. I've been using these now several months incl their caffeine versions and I really love them once you get used to texture [ kind of like jelly ] they are great. Easily to use and digest and no sticky fingers when your putting wrapping in your rear pockets. Certainly feel improved NRG levels when I've taken a gel. Of you're not 100% with what you're using now these are certainly worth researching and using 5/5
Have tried other gels, prefer these over the more syrupy, overly sweet ones. You also get it in easily while running without it becoming a sticky mess as these are more jelly like in consistency and don't overflow when you bite into them. Have also had them without needing to drink water straight away and not feeling sick after, which means you can take them when you need them and not when it coincides with a water station. Highly recommended.
I consumed 10 of these during a 40k marathon training run to test my GI system. I did not experience any issues. My energy levels remained consistent throughout the 3.5 hr effort. The neutral taste and consistency support this level of ingestion for me. I've used other gels in the past but would not use anything other than Maurten for training or races.
