I bought this yesterday after not having time to go to a shop with some variety of make up to choose from for over 2 weeks. I saw the brush first à and liked it. It was a choice between a less well known brand at £5 cheaper and this. Sadly I chose this. Nowhere did it say before you buy this you need to buy a primer first. It's so bad it gets all over my eye area, but worse than that it highlights my short stubby lashes. It makes them stick together. Because its waterproof it'll be harder to remove too! This mascara is a good mascara if you already have decent lashes. It will darken, volumise and lengthen. However, I have short, thin, sparse blonde eyelashes and for me it wasn’t fantastic. I found it highlighted how sparse my eyelashes are and I needed to do a lot of coats for any impact. It did make them a beautiful inky black and lengthened them. It was easy to wash off with my regular cleanser and did not smudge during the day or leave me with the dreaded panda eyes. I personally didn’t like the brush, It is plastic and with my lashes being so short and sparse, I found it difficult to get the little lashes on the ends and the lower lash line. I had aspects I quite enjoyed and some which were a bit disappointing.The specially-designed hourglass brush with petal-shaped bristles allows for more control and precision with application which I love when I’m in a rush. Less possibility of an accidental smudge. The brush grabs all the lashes individually and distributes the liquid evenly. The lightweight formula is pleasant on the eyes and doesn’t have that heavy gloopy feeling of some mascaras. I have long but very straight lashes. I do have to curl them with an eyelash curler to get curl but this has been the only mascara, and I've tried so many, that holds the curl until I take off the mascara. I use the waterproof one. It separates the lashes really well while also added volume. I always end up going back to this mascara. All the others I've tried, doesn't hold a curl at all and is straight again within 5 mins! It is waterproof so harder to get off than normal mascara. But I use the Nivea eye make up remover which has oil in it and it just slides right off!

I have naturally long lashes (poor me!) so often have mascara dots on my eye lids where the ends hit them and the same from my lower lashes, however, I didn't have that issue while using Max Factor False Lash Effect XXL. I have sensitive eyes that irritate easily, again using this didn't have any negative impact. I may have had a few sneaky naps on the couch without removing my makeup and woke up without a lash out of place or dry eyes - the first time that's happened. Speaking of removing makeup, it is so easy when you want to! There were no raccoon eyes just a simple removal. Not only will I be buying but recommending to everyone.
