While the stand-alone base and capsule is well designed and very convenient, the same cannot be said for the magnetic cover, the strap/clip that goes down behind the car seat and the pram fixtures. The magnetic cover does not successfully magnet to the capsule and needs a significant amount of convincing to work when wanting to pull it all the way down, this seems to be an issue with the design and workmanship of the cover itself. The mico was purchased for us by family in the nomad navy and we loved it. We have just transitioned our bub out of the capsule and into a car seat at 9 months. We could have kept bub in the mico for longer (she was still over an inch from the shoulder markers) however it was just getting a little heavy now that bub is getting older and bigger. Very easy to get in and out of the car and wePurchased adapters so that we could clip the capsule straight onto our pram base (icandy peach). The hood on the capsule I believe is the best on the market. The extra extendable hood with breathing vents was a lifesaver when out and about and also prevented strangers from prying in and wanting to touch your baby (it happens!) highly recommend this capsule for expecting mums.

This capsule made travelling with a newborn a breeze! From ducking up the street to travelling an hour, the Mico 12 clicked in and out seamlessly, easy to lift and was perfectly compatible with both my redsbaby and bugaboo prams. Plus - easy to adjust as Bub grew. I couldn’t have been happier! Highly recommend!!

I can’t tell you how frustrating it was to leave the hospital with a newborn, in winter, only to get stuck for half an hour in the carpark because the maxi cosi plus wasn’t manufactured properly and the release for the pram connections weren’t connected (the arms don’t release). For an item that was close to $600 I expected better.It will be interesting to see if they replace it immediately - because if they don’t it will leave us without a suitable car capsule.
I must admit it looked beautiful in the store, which was the first thing that stood out to me. The quality of the fit and finish was just better than the others and I was told to squeeze the insides where my baby's head, bum and sides would be and I was horrified at the others and how hard and uncomfortable they felt. That won me over immediately. Now after using it for a while, I love being able to get out, click it on my stroller (not Maxi-Cosi stroller) and go for a walk. Highly recommend A+++++++++
Very nice capsule with lots of protection for baby. The sun cover can be pulled right down and you can wash the cover as well. I chose the lighter colour because of the hot Queensland summers.
The capsule is well made and fits nicely on the pram I have (rover 3). The way the straps are loosened is a bit tricky though, not as smooth as our 0-4 car seat. Also, once my baby hit 9 weeks she started hating it. I think because it is so enclosed. She is in the 7th percentile though and a little baby, but always seems to squished. I wouldn't recommend it to others

And I went to the baby shop and felt the other capsules by other brands and they were really comfy and cushioned. They had memory foam support all around the baby and they had supports that actually cradled the baby snug and the whole capsule was exactly what a newborn capsule should be, also with great support around the headWell this capsule has no inserts at all and if you can call that flat circle piece of material a newborn head support than wow, it does absolutely nothing to support the babies head at all, my girls head flopped side to side and her chin fell down to her chest which is dangerousIt has nothing to cradle Bub at all, it’s like a big shell that you put your ... We have a smaller capsule (appropriate to 6 months) and was definitely a lot lighter. This capsule is quite heavy and takes a little to get use to. Also found the magnets used to hold the straps up are very weak, so when you’re putting baby in they fall under. Also took some practice to get out of the car, but now we are used to it, it makes life easier.
Initially our experience was great with a quick delivery. However, the capsule we received has a fault with the hood. Initially we had a great customer service response with a replacement hood being sent out. However, the replacement hood we have received is a completely different colour to our capsule which we had no idea this would be the case until we opened it. Have now been told that the hood to match our capsule is out of stock.Disappointed that the communication has not been clear. Still waiting on a resolution. Now asking for the whole capsule to be replaced. Hoping it's sorted before the baby gets here!
