Not an owner of a 4WD……But a Fiat Ducato motorhome…..front wheel drive…most of the weight at the back. Consequently front wheels need traction on soft or wet ground.Maxytrax are the best go to within the M/home community.. Given Supercheaps members discount….this was a no brainer. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Within a month, they'd been used to get my front wheel drive, pizza cutter tyred Corolla station wagon out of a slippery spot, which they did perfectly. They fit inside across the back of the wagon. I was wanting a gift for my son for Christmas who lives over east, I live in WA, and so looked through the Anaconda website and saw many great offers. I saw the Maxtrax and knew he would never ask for these but would love them. By becoming a member I got a discount and for xmas a bonus gift card. The whole process was so easy to work through and order. He received the Maxtrax and was so delighted he posted on both fb and Instagram how great a gift he just received. All done with easy from the comfort of my lounge chair.
From feedback from everybody i have spoken to Maxtrax are the ducks nuts in recovery boardsHave yet to use them myself but are sleek, heavy duty and longer than others i have usedI also like the locking bolt system. Great vavue at $298 a pair
Went to Fraser with the Pajero at the end of winter and assumed I would need recovery tracks. After weighing up the options and reading and watching reviews I opted for the max trax despite the higher price tag. Well they worked! Got us out of the soft stuff and Indian head and used to bridge some holes on the Inland track with minimal flex. My only complaint is that despite the price and the reviews there was significant wearing of the grip/nodules after only 2 or three uses. I wasn't expecting this and had I of know I would have more seriously considered the alternatives at half the price given the.imfrequecy of use and that I wasn't intending on bolting them to the roof permanently do drive around town and look good like many do! :)
Maxtrax have a divided community. You have those that say they wouldn't leave home without them and then those that say they are a waste of space to carry. It really depends on your vehicle setup. If you twin locked with good clearance 33" or more I don't think carrying a pair of Maxtrax will make too much difference if you are an seasoned off roader. Maxtrax will really help those with open axles front and/or rear, perhaps AWD soft roaders and those with standard wheel sizes. You can bridge drops to get traction, raise vehicle height slightly to clear that obstacle that just causing you to body contact out or just need additional traction due to having a less than aggressive tyre pattern. We've used them for our 4WD and AWD's and have found the twin locked Prado ... MoreMaxtrax have a divided community. We bought the maxtrax with the view that we may never use them, more of an insurance policy. Two weeks later we were caught up in a deluge in country Victoria and stuck on two occasions on slippery and boggy tracks. We were planning to use a tractor to get our Colorado out, but thought we give the maxtrax a go. Both times they got us out effortlessly. 5 stars
I used Max tracks for the first time after being bogged on a muddy track. Tried to use as instructed. Tyres could not get any grip. Actually created a worse situation. No wonder the video shows how to get out of a sand bog only. These things don’t work in the mud. In the end a friendly farmer towed my Ute out by tractor.
I haven't used the Maxtrax yet but have them ready when required. Bought these after seeing on YouTube a recovery track comparison putting most known brands of track through some crazy tests using a 79 series LandCruiser. The Maxtrax was the only one that went through the testing and still looked like they came off the shelf. All the other tracks including more expensive ones either snapped or showed signs of fatigue.I'm sure when I need to use these recovery tracks they will perform better than anything else on the market.
