I read some reviews that indicated this was not a reliable product and sadly that was our experience. The light didn’t work on the one we bought. We attempted to exchange but the light didn’t work in the one we tested in store, so we returned this. Also, six AAA batteries is excessive. I would recommend looking for a different version if you want a reliable product.

I needed an everyday electric pepper grinder as I have difficulty with my thumb. The price was very appealing and it does the job perfectly. No fuss no bother just looked on Myer on line, ticked click and collect. The whole process was fast and easy. Highly recommend this experience.

We absolutely love these. We wanted to get a classic pepper shaker and then found these both pepper and salt. We were not sure about the electric function but now we wondered how we lived without it. We often have 8-12 people for family dinner. Life is easier and the way that the spices are distributed are absolutely perfect. Let’s not forget the light so you can make sure the perfect amount of salt and pepper are put on your well cooked meal. When you’re ready for a salt and pepper kit this is the one. You want a great gift idea then don’t go past this.

The mill works well, better with salt than with pepper, but it takes 6AAA batteries which isn’t mentioned in the description. The light was a nice surprise however, one of my mills light didn’t last more than a week then recently decided to work again.I’d buy again at the ‘on special’ price because pressing a button is easier and cleaner than using a traditional mill but also because you need to add $6 worth of batteries to each mill.
This uses 6 AAA batteries. Even with 6 batteries, the motor is sorely underpowered and often jams up while it tries to do its one job - which is to grind black pepper. On the rare occasion that it works, it probably runs for 5-10 seconds before grinding to a halt (literally, no pun intended). Having owned a Kmart version of this some time ago, I'd say that this product is disappointingly indifferent and has subpar quality, but sold at a steeper price. Definitely would NOT recommend getting this - you're better off getting a manual grinder or maybe try another brand.
Everything about the Cosmopolitan Salt & Pepper shaker is absolutely beautiful, this is a need not a want .It fits beautifully in your hand for easy use practical and stylish, the colour is gorgeous it’s a soft mustard with a rubber skin ,fitting in perfect with our coastal style , I also purchased the white.The button at the top of the shaker to release the salt/pepper releases easily providing the perfect amount every time!! Each shaker takes 6 x AAA batteries, I was expecting this as I had read the reviews , it’s not a problem when you start using it , you forget about the cost of the batteries . Definitely make the purchase you will not be disappointed!!
Love my Maxwell Williams Salt and Pepper Mill. Although I had a very heavy duty Pepper Mill which I purchased about 15 years ago I wish I had that one as it was fantastic and it has only just had part break under the mill, it still works but doesn't mill finely. This does take 6 AAA batteries though which is a bit of a downfall. My first time using a pepper mill that is electric. So far so good.
I bought two of these to complement my new kitchen. They are a lovely matt coloured navy and very stylish. They are designed ergonomically and easy to hold. They grind the peppercorn’s nice and fine. The salt does come out fairly quickly, so the button doesn’t need to be pressed for long. The first one didn’t initially work, despite using brand new batteries. After much trial I got it to work. The batteries don’t have a separate barrier to contain them, so have a tendency to slip out, when placing them. Once in and working, it’s great.
The electric mill is easy to use and is comfortable in your hand. The 6 batteries per unit takes a sec to get over but the mill works smoothly and is a joy to operate. I purchased two (one for salt and one for pepper). You can adjust how coarse or fine you want the salt/pepper and they look great too. Mine live on my dining table and are not too tall so don't get in the way. It doesn't hold a huge amount if salt/pepper but we've used them for several sittings and haven't filled them yet (there's 5 of us).
