I got these tires thinking they would work good for riding in the streets. They have very little puncture resistance. I am trying to make them work with a sealant, but its quite scary - i hear loud POPs and BANGS every time i ride!! Constantly having to add more air to the tires. I can’t blame the tire , i am not using them for their intended purpose. They feel smooth and floaty when you get on a nice paved surface. So muchso that i will often look back thinking the tire is going flat when its not. Hope this helps someone, don’t buy for commuting

Title says it all. Good tired but I’ve gotten flats 2 times in less than 2 weeks with these tires. I’ve risen over the same terrain on the same paths with different tires and never had an issue. They are extremely thin and offer little to no protection from even tiny objects. I will never use these tires again.
After trying a few different brands & styles in the last couple years, I finally found the "just right" tire for my ride style. Great all around, very versatile tire. 👍🏻
I recently raced the maxxis torch tires at the great salt lake nationals and they provided excellent grip and stability. I'm an old schooler so having such a low profile tread was odd looking, but the performance was unmatched. Love em!
Great all around Bmx race tire! Perfect for both dirt tracks as well as modern styled sealed tracks. Loved my DTH but these are quickly becoming my favorite!
I live in the Midwest; not all of our tracks are perfectly groomed and soil-tacked. The Torch is fast, versatile, and provides good traction across all surfaces.
i have successfully run 1.95 torch on a medium width bmx rim (gsport birdcage) that i ride mostly park, some street and occasional trails.my first month on this tire, i did a big gap to feeble stall on a really beat, crusty ledge and it punctured through the sidewall. i booted the tire and ran it another 12-15mo before the tread ran out, mostly brakeless, using my foot on the tire to stop . i run pegs half the time and i am not much of a grinder, but i will still hit the occasional appealing street grind which has included plenty of rough, unwaxed, crusty brick ledges. this tire will hold up to "light street". my favorite part about this tire is once it gets really bald, it becomes super litewate. im on my second or third torch tire.
