The Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush is a water-based gel cream formulated blush with pigments that delivers a buildable pigmentation with a natural finish. recommended that you apply 1-2 dots on the cheeks with your fingers. It's an oil-free formula with soft dewy finish and apparently a little goes a long way. The blush has a very interesting texture. It comes out pretty thick and looks pigmented but once you start to blend it out it just sheers out so beautifully. It's truly a gel formula, it feels very lightweight. I am not about that finger application life so I will probably use my brushes instead. But I'll give the fingers a shot and let you know how that went. I hope that influencer sends me this product because it is the best!

Blush Sticks and Creams are all the rage this Spring. Having recently done a review on Ilia Lip and Cheek stick, I wanted to compare a cost effective tint. First, I found this at the Dollar General for around $6.00 and was eager to try the pretty pink color. Opening the tube, I had to squeeze half the air out before it dispensed the product. Problem! So that check tint just cost me then I bargained for. The color was pretty but after initially putting onto my cheek it just imparted an overall glow of color, no real definition was able to be achieved. Overall, something great to keep in your kitchen drawer to throw on under your tinted sunscreen. A must? Nah…😘✌🏻

After trying this out I was kinda pissed for wasting money on it. Then I realized it said sheer. Meaning this isn’t a thick colorful blob . It’s suppose to be light coverage. So I’ll use it when I’m going for a light makeup day and when I want a darker more vibrant look I’ll use powder blush or a full coverage liquid blush. If it hadn’t of been sheer I would only give 2 stars because I wouldn’t of known. Being that it is it’s definitely 4 stars. When buying products make sure to read everything about it so you’ll know how to use it properly. Yes I would repurchase.

This product was very sheer. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of pigment and the fact that it was patchy. I wouldn’t call this product buildable either. Even if you were to use the whole tube, not only would the color remain the same, it would get patchier. The only plus for me was the shiny finish. It is a very dewy-looking blush without glitter particles and it’s perfect for dry skin. Maybe if you were looking for a highlighter this would be great for you lol. Absofrknlutely Love.
21 May 2022

Absolutely love this on my skin! For reference, I’m Hispanic and of medium complexion. I bought the nude burn color and it’s great. A little really does go a long way. I apply up to 3 small dabs on each cheek and blend it out with a regular blush brush. It’s perfect and I hope they never discontinue! Even after hours of being out in crazy Texas heat and humidity, it doesn’t fade and it still looks great.

Colorless
19 May 2021

This blush has virtually no pigment after application. The first time I wore it, I squirted some on my hand, swirled a blush brush in it and applied to my cheeks where the color basically disappeared. I kept swirling and applying, swirling and applying, until finally i put if directly on my cheeks and blended with the brush. There was still very, very little noticeable color. The second time I wore it, I squirted it onto my fingers and massaged into my cheeks where, again, it disappeared. Three layers later I had barely a tinge of pink. I like a sheer, natural looking blush but this is seriously lacking in color. The one thing I like is the consistency, which melts right into your skin. Otherwise very disappointing product.

Does not show on Pale Redhead
11 September 2022

I had such high hopes for this. The packaging looks great, the colors have a great selection, but it is non-existent on the skin. I am as pale as it gets and "Nude Burn" disappeared on me. Maybelline, please reformulate. This has so much potential and could be a long term winner if you just get the pigmentation and lasting power to be worth it. I would pay a higher price if this was better. Sadly disappointed!

Maybelline Cheek Heat
15 August 2021

I received Maybelline Cheek Heat in the shade called Pink Scorch. I really love this product. It goes on easy. You can spread it across your skin with no pull. It seems like a gel. The gel goes on a little darker and then lightens quickly to a shade that looks natural. The color is perfect. Even though the texture is soft the product lasts all day. I do not know how it turns a lighter shade just after you put it on but it is great. You just need a little bit when it goes on so I think this tube will last a long time. Does not seem to rub off either. I rate the staying power at 5 Stars. I rate the Pink Scorch color at 5 Stars. Ease of application is 5 Stars. Value 5 Stars. Try this product it’s great! Thank you so much for the opportunity to try Cheek Heat.

VERY sheer, almost undetectable
28 June 2022

I wanted to love this. I really did. But the color payoff is almost undetectable. No matter how much I apply, I can't seem to get any pigment. I bought the coral ember color because that color compliant completion best. However, this product removes whatever product you have underneath. It doesn't blend well at all. So, basically, you have to apply it to a bare face. No thanks. I love cream or liquid blushes, but this was a miss.

Why bother going through the motions to receive zero color?
15 October 2022

I tried A dot of color, mmm, nada. Tried two dots of color...blend, blend. Mmmm, nada. Tried THREE BLOBS of color and I honestly have to say what was the point besides the feeling of greasy cheeks that dried almost immediately and felt like I had been slimed and then wiped off as it dried to nothing. Literally NOTHING. The ONLY color on my cheeks was from the "blending" I had done with my fingers when applying this ..... "stuff". It's not "blush" by any means so I have named it "Stuff" and "Stuff" it shall be. Right now, it is "stuffing" my garbage can.
