Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Multi-use Concealer - Golden

I recently read a review on here that raved about this concealer. They said that they exclusively purchased/used high end makeup skincare, but that they were so impressed with this product, that it had far exceeded any/all expectations they had. But it didn’t just do better than expected, it had outperformed it’s pricier counterparts! Obvs, that’s the highest of praise. I have just started getting fine lines around my eyes, that’s in addition to my ongoing concerns- dark circles,freckles, hyperpigmentation, uneven + dull tone, etc.. I was hopeful that I could get results similar to those of the reviewer. Needless to say, I had to try it! The controlled dispensing into the awesome sponge applicator, love, love, ℒ𝒪𝒱ℰ. I was off to a great start… But, unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended- for me at least. Although the application was smooth, the coverage was far too light it most certainly settled into my fine lines (it did so right away, quite the fete). So disappointing. But, I persisted! Cause, well, I wanted to really give it a fair try- prob more so that I didn’t want to accept that it didn’t work for me- so I tried a few more times but each time changing a part of my routine (diff primer, skipping serum, etc), in hopes that I’d see different results. I didn’t. I gave it the three stars because the applicator is so awesome, that it seems that many others had a far more positive experience. But, for me anyway, it’s a big, fat, loud, resounding, 𝒩𝒪.

What It Does: Covers dark circles, redness, and any other discoloration. Who It's For: All skin types I'm a snob when it comes to concealer. And a snob when it comes to foundation. And setting powder, blush, and bronzer, too. Basically, I'm a brat about base products. I'll use drugstore lipsticks, liners, and mascaras, but if it's meant to perfect my skin, I always go for the pricey stuff. Yes, I know, it sounds obnoxious, but some people like to invest in good quality cashmere sweaters; I like to invest in good quality complexion enhancers. That's one reason it took me so long to try the . I remember when it first came out (I was a wee beauty assistant at the time), but it wasn't until earlier in 2018, when they announced they were expanding the shade range, that I decided to give it a chance. To be honest, it may have been the only thing sitting on my desk when I needed to get ready for an after-work event, so I used it out of necessity. But the minute I started blending it over my skin, I was impressed.

It also works well paired with tarte's timeless smoothing primer and Nar's translucent setting powder, though my fav primers thus far are Hourglass's No. 28 primer serum and Smashbox Photo Finish Smooth Blur , though Benefit Porefessional hydrating primer is great too. Keep in mind, these primers are geared toward dry skin with fine lines, blemishes or large pores. For younger women with blesh-free normal to oily skin, Hourglass Mineral Veil is a great place to start and MAC has a Strobe Cream that gives a luminous glow in a few different shades. Either way,it would be hard to beat this product for light or medium coverage. It is buildable too. If you need really heavy coverage, try Tarte's Creaseless concealer. It's heavier, but a good product, still, I think I'd try this first, and since it is buildable, I've also had sucess layering the two above concealers ❤️together!

In a world post - shape tape - type concealers, Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind is much appreciated.Expect a lightweight, thin consistency with medium but buildable coverage and a natural finish. This concealer is low maintenance and easy to blend. Although unsanitary, the application sponge also makes touch-ups on the go quite easy.I do want to disclose that the nature of its thin consistency will make it cling to dry, flaky patches on your skin. I tried this concealer while peeling from using Differin and it didn't do my skin any favors. So make sure you've exfoliated before wearing this.Overall, if you're tired of heavy, cakey looking concealers this one is phenomenal.
