I’m not sure if it’s this particular shade or maybe just a bad batch, but this seemed a lot stickier than other shades I’ve tried from the matte ink line. I applied a thin amount had to go over a couple of spots again to achieve full coverage. Even with using a sparing amount, it stayed tacky for 10 minutes until I got tired of my lips sticking together blotted it with a tissue. Even after blotting, it still seemed a bit tacky in the corners of my mouth, but that did eventually go away. I noticed about an hour later that it finally felt weightless and I had forgotten I had it on. I like a liquid lip that is a high pigment content so that I don't need copious amounts of layers to get an even coverage. this product allows you vinyl lip realness when done right. And finally it is nice when a liquid lip can be worn with a variety of different lip glosses and the formula does not break down. I'm excited to say I have even used forever 21 lip gloss on this lipstick and it did not budge . The Lipstick is wonderful but the way to ensure that you get the most out of this lipstick you must exfoliate your lips until every last piece of dead skin is off of your lip! number two use a lip balm that is hydrating in such a way the hydration goes into the lip because before you put this lipstick on you will have to remove every bit of it that is on the surface so the lipstick forms of proper bond with the skin. Leaving a waxy surface will compromise the adherence of this formula. It is very important to stay away from waxy lip balms with this formula and clean lip balms before applying. Finally do each lip separately let each lip dry separately do not touch your lips together until it has completely dried and resist the compulsion to test whether it is dry. Once you break that finish it is a pain to try to fix. Look for the texture of the lipstick to change as it dries down as it dries down it will be wet but when it is dry it will not be as shiny it will look set. A NICE POP OF COLOR WITH A MATTE FINISH

I received a sample of the Super Stay Matte Ink in shade 460 Optimist. The color Optimist is in the deep pink almost fuchsia range. The color is vibrant and striking. I would have liked to try another color that was toned down. Despite the color not being my preference, the color is impressive. The precision applicator does a good job with application. When I applied the lipstick, it was a little sticky at first you need time to allow the liquid lipstick to dry thoroughly. One application is all that I needed you do not have to go over your lips repeatedly. Once the lipstick was dry, it was indeed matte and I had moisture. The lipstick did not thoroughly dry out my lips which I appreciated. The lipstick will not come off with just water or even a little bit of soap. I went to the Maybelline website and there is a product called Maybelline Super Stay Eraser lipstick remover. I would have like to sample that product to see how well it worked removing the liquid matte lipstick. Vaseline works very well in removing this lipstick. Will this product last for up to 8 hours, if I had the opportunity to follow-up, I would happily update my review. The precision applicator that comes with this product I am not sure if it will hold up. I am concerned that the tip will break off, you have to be careful when pulling on the applicator the opening of the product is narrow. I had to pull the applicator out with a little force, once I pulled out the applicator you hear a pop. Overall, this is a good product, and this will be a staple in my makeup collection. Maybelline, if you read this review make the tube opening less narrow and this will be a solid product.

I had to borrow my daughter's makeup remover (which I normally don't need for the types of makeup I use) just to get it off my lips. It is super stay, just as the name implies. It is matte. It comes in a nice, high quality tube and I love that the smiley faces matched the shirt my daughter was wearing. That was kinda funny and I told her, hey we match! I think this product was geared toward younger people, but it doesn't scream teeny-bopper either. I would recommend for those in their late teens and twenties. But you're only as young as you feel and if you like smilies and emojis, then this is for you,no matter what your age. Just keep in mind you will need makeup remover or mineral oil to remove it.
