Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick Dreamer

Disclaimer: This is a review for Maybelline New York Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in shade 370 Overseer. I could not find this product in the list so i figured I'll write a review here. Okay, so I said this is an okay-ish lipstick because it is nearly impossible to remove it. Now I know that is a good thing about a lipstick that it is smudge proof, water proof and doesn't budge all day. But this is just too much. I have tried miscellar water, cleansing balm, creams, oils, water, soap, literally every possible thing to remove it yet it just refuses to come out. This results in it being really harsh on my lips. It dries out completely matte and feels a bit sticky for some time. It takes a comparatively longer time to dry too. Color lasts for Hours!!!

I Honestly have to say... This is my new favorite lipstick product. "Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink". I was sent this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. I absolutely Love how you can put on this lipstick and the color will last for hours. You can swim, drink, eat, etc without loosing the color. Once it's completely dry, you can dab it, wipe it, and so on. It's Smudge Free!!! It will even stay on throughout the night if you choose to go to bed with it on. Fantastic lipstick

This is by far my favorite lipstick. It goes on easily and once it dries it stays put. I can eat with it, take naps, drink soda, and it remains in place. It does go on a bit sticky at first. I suggest doing a light layer to begin with. Don't keep glopping on a ton at once. A little goes a long way with this lipstick. Make sure your lips are exfoilated. After I brush my teeth I wipe my lips down with a towel and that is good enough before application. My favorite two shades are Self Starter and Lover. Self Starter is a great mixture of red/orange. I was actually complimented on this color in public because "it wasn't too red, but not exactly orange either". Lover is like a deep magenta. Something simple as mineral oil/baby oil or using an oil cleanse first, it comes right off easily. Please do not try to just use makeup wipes or soap and scrub your lips raw when all you need is a few seconds of an oil cleanser. I have used a makeup melt and mineral oil and both work perfectly. The only con so far with this product is how fast it seems to thicken up in the tube. So you will not be able to hold on to this lipstick for a long time before having to toss and buy another. But, maybe that is just me. Either way, it's wonderful and I would aboslutely recommend to anyone wanting a nice bold lip.

Got me back into the Liquid Lip again!

I'm not usually a huge lover of the liquid lip but this product is the one that got me back into liking them again! I have purchased such beautiful shades (amazonian and seductress) and fell in love with how they looked on the lips instantly and with how long wearing and non-drying they were.With this product, I got around 5 hours of good wear throughout my workday and it didn't flake off as so many of these types of products tend to do. Instead, it wore off nice and evenly and didn't become a sticky mess either. The application was also made so easy with this product! You can easily fill in and line your lips with the pointed-tip applicator. The lip product once dried properly barely transfers.Shade range is also amazing with so many nudes, neutrals, and other fun shades to choose from.The only issue I have with the product is how tacky it can become if you don't let it dry fully after application and go straight to pressing the lips together... But even then, it is still way more tolerable than having an extremely drying and flaky formula (sorry NYX Lip lingerie). The tackiness also helps with locking in moisture and with the wear quality, making it really 'stick' onto the lips. Make sure you also have a good makeup remover for this!They are also natural looking on the lips and can be worn to work and while doing other daily activities. Will continue to purchase.

Great for work

I bought this in “frosted mauve” and “blush rose”. Color lasts about 6 hours on me (I drink a lot of water and green tea) and dries giving me clumpy “beef lips”. The balm is great though: very glossy, creamy but light. Color goes on smooth and creamy but gets this weird “dry sticky” feeling until fully dry. It doesn’t transfer at all when dry. I really like this lipstick, but I had to use a lip exfoliator and a heavy balm after use. Required 1 after-lunch touch up between 6am application and 6pm bedtime removal. I felt like it dehydrated my lips a bit and had to use a heavy lip balm at bedtime. Came right off with an oil-based cold cream. The mauve is way darker than most mauve shades. For the pics, I put what AR showed me it’d look like, then one photo inside, and one photo by the window. The Color I got was called “Timeless Rose”. I’m disappointed in the color, but this is the best stay on lipstick I’ve tried so far and I LOVE how the chapstick it comes with makes your lips so soft! I hate matte dry stay-on ones! Another thing to consider is that it tends to dry darker after some time, and can do it even more if it’s old and you haven’t gotten a new tube in awhile. I also want to make a note that all colors are not of equal quality due to formula changes with color changes I think. One color I had for my wedding, and it wore off after four hours. My other, Cranberry red, would stay on all day and even mostly through the night once! One photo well lit indoors and one outdoors or by the window! -But yes, I LOVE this brand of stay on and it’s by far the most comfortable. They’re very pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and one coat is enough. They can flake if you put on too much or if you’re already wearing chapstick (and probably some other factors), but I generally don’t have a problem with it flaking. Just make sure to have clean lips and use their own chapstick that comes on the other end of the tube. There is also a lipstick tube that’s a lipstick remover specifically for this, and it’s sold separately. I use it and it works nicely without drying out your lips like my current makeup remover. Hope this was helpful. -Oh, Target customer service, your AR is crap for makeup. Please fix it. There’s major gloss shine to this and it shows matte in AR.

Lasts All Day - Wore through Xmas dinner

As someone that abandoned the liquid lip trend back in 2017, I have had no intentions to return. I love hydrating lip products. But recently I've been missing wearing bold lip colors- if they're not in the formula of the 2016 ABH liquid lips, I feel like they transfer.FINALLY I found a product that I feel comfortable wearing a bold lip in. It's not drying (so important to me) but also somehow manages not to transfer? I wore this all day long ok Christmas and even through Christmas dinner. Me being the paranoid person that I am when wearing bold lips, I kept checking my lips in my phone camera and asking my fiance if it's on anything or faded... and to my surprise they looked amazing.Honestly pleasantly surprised by this product. Tip three, no product is perfect I will touch my lips up maybe once or twice a day usually after eating or if I want a boost in the colour. my final thoughts are that SuperStay will stay on your lips and not on everything else, I can wipe, wash, drink, lick my lips and go about my every day without fear of leaving my mark on everything. Plus if you wanted to from matte to gloss you can without worrying about any fallout and lifting. allow your lipstick to dry fully before applying a gloss of your choice overtop and get ready to be amazed. 12/12 would recommend to everyone

This does not come off!!

If you are looking at the comments to find someone say this works on oily skin you found it! I have tried multiple stay lipsticks to not find anything that will stay on my oily skin. Come 4 years ago when a coworker in my serving job recommended super stay… this was game changer! I love bright colors and for serving red looks great. If you ever served you know taking time to reapply makeup is really not an option. And sampling food that is giving away for free happens all the time. This thing won’t come off! I can eat drink water waiter for hours and come home to full lipsticks!!!! I love it and have gifted it to my sisters , and recommend it to guests as well.
