Mayitwill XL Castle 2 in 1 Cat Litter Box With Scratch Basin & Scoop White

I was so excited to receive these! They’re fantastic quality and packaged nicely. I have had kitties for 10 years and I am always skeptical when purchasing new items. Especially ones as costly as these. I’m very happy with my purchase. I chose this litter box because there’s no seem for the litter to escape. Additionally, I was skeptic about the litter scooper included- but I must say- this is the sturdiest litter scooper I have ever owned. The liners that come with it are strong like a heavy tarp. Worth every cent!

I really had high hopes for this litter box. It looks great and I absolutely love the drawer that is pulled out to put the kitty litter into it.Let me say that it does work well - but only for cats that sit and pee, which worked great for my first cat. The second cat pees standing and normally pees against the wall of the tray.It looked like a nice, deep enough tray, but the problem is, the side of the tray slopes inward and it doesn't line up well with each other; leaving a small crack between the outer lid and the tray/drawer underneath.This is enough for the pee to go through the crack, no matter how tightly I put the pieces together, the pee goes straight out and onto the floor.It's a shame because it looks great and my cats actually love it! The other kitty litter tray, the house one, says it isn't good for cats that pee standing up, so I don't understand why this one didn't state that, because if I had known, I would not have bought it!Lastly the two design choices, even if a third product could be made with these, would be:1) A higher lid/ceiling height inside. I did find the great cat, while after was ok using it, she must like her open spaces more, as she was a little put off at how small the opening was, and how small the lid height was. The second cat was perfectly fine with this.2) A higher tray/drawer, with a sort of lip or maybe just a deeper tray, so that even with a bit of kitty litter in it, the draw walls are high enough that the cats can pee against the wall and not have it go out the side of the wall!This would be a good send.Even if we could have a deeper tray and style for the house design because that looked super cute and great! But again for those of us that have weird cats that for some reason don't like sitting, and have developed the preference to pee on the side of the tray, then it just won't work for those type of cats!I wish I could get my money back on this as it's a definite flaw in the product. And if you have cats that pee standing, please don't get this one. It just isn't worth the mess or hassle!

I was incredibly excited to finally get a cute toilet for my cat. Unfortunately it’s just not for her. She’s always been over enthusiastic about covering, and I hoped the design would prevent her from kicking the litter everywhere, but it all just gets stuck at the back which makes cleaning difficult. The entrance causes there to be less room inside. My cat ended up stepping in her poop and tracking it through the house - this has never happened before. I also noticed that smells get trapped inside. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement considering all the positive reviews plus the cost of it.

I have to admit I was slightly embarrassed spending so much on a cat litter tray but I was at my wits end due to my dog eating cat poo out of the litter trays every time they used it. Since installing this tray his cat poo munching days are over and he has really tried to get his favourite treat without success! Another benefit is that the cat litter all stays in the tray and none is tracked into the house. I did findcleaning the tray out a bugger due to the circumference of the base it's hard to tip into a bin bag, so I got afood scoop which now makes it easy, quick with no mess. So if you have a cat poo eater in your house and have tried everything to stop their munching, get this, it really works!

Originally, I ordered the white castle litter box and was instead sent the morandi green one. I was upset because the green didn’t aesthetically match with anything I owned, and could not figure out how and why I was sent the wrong litter box.I got in touch with a customer service rep, and they communicated well. I was planning to exchange the litter box for the white one, but i needed a litter box because my kitten had came. So i had to use the morandi green litterbox, i was upset that I wouldn’t be able to return it. Personally, I would have gotten the House litter box had I known my cat kicks up a lot of litter, it was my first adopted cat so I took the risk.I have a medium-large male cat so when he 'buries' his litter, the litter ends up outside and at the back of the litter tray. When you push in the tray, there's still a gap at the back which litter can still go through. Unfortunately it did nothing to control litter tracking on the paws of my cats feet so if you're current litter tracks, don't expect any real change as a result of this litter box. My only other issue is that it doesn't seem to sit together too well which results in litter being kicked over the edge and underneath and around the litter box. I also read multiple reviews about this issue but with urine! Overall I love this litter box.It looks really modern and doesn't look like a litter box which is my favourite part.I have used a few different litters in this box and found that any clay or fine/smaller particle litter would still easily track throughout the house. A lot of litter also escapes down the edges when the cats kick around inside so it gets a little messy. I've seen comments about urine leaking from over the edges and if your cat wee's quite high, I can definitely see that being an issue and I'd look for something else.I have since moved to pellet litter which ticks all the boxes for me and it seems to all stay in the box which is great. I just REALLY wish this litter box came with a sieve insert option for pellet litter. Only for interior, not for cat litter

it's $169 each so I did not expect it to have any issue as litter box but I was so shocked when my cats used it and the floor was all flooded with their urine. I will recommend who has 3-4kg cat who pee on the right in the middle of the litter box. Little to the sides, then you will be able to swim on the floor.Also, I do not want you to put the scratcher on the top of a toilet. Whoever designed this, obviously doesn't know about cats. Litter box must be away from where they rest. It's one of the basic knowledge of cat owner. I wish i could attach some photos here. I can show you leaking urines on the side of the CLOSED litter box. Extra star for interior, but it's not a litter box for sure.

Works well except for cats that stand peeing

I wish this was something we could use. For the most part it worked great! The main feature I really loved was being able to pull the draw out and clean it. Plus the grate worked really well, I barely saw any kitty litter on the floor afterwards, so it definitely prevents cats tracking kitty litter onto the floor outside.But if your cat pees against the inside wall of litter trays, then this is not the product for you. The seam between the top piece and the bottom allows the pee to leak through and onto the ground.I think my cat also realises that that's something not quite right when she pees with this as she has stopped using it all together, which is fine as I was having to clean up pee each day!For our younger, second cat, she is perfectly happy climbing ... MoreI wish this was something we could use. But definitely a 4/5 if you don't have this issue!
