I am a 91 year old fairly active man. I have used this knee brace while I am playing golf and its provides support for my left knee so that I can turn and hit the ball similarly to when I was much younger. I have another McDavid knee brace that I use for every day, but the 429X gives me the extra support that I need when I leave the house and when I do shopping or walking. One note: the instructions for putting it on are incorrect: the bottom left strap and the top right strap are the first straps to pull up and across; the bottom right and the top left attach to them, not the other way around.

I had originally bought a brace at a department store, but it did not give me the support I needed and was uncomfortable. After doing my research, I bought this brace. It was a huge improvement. Very comfortable and a lot of support. I also felt that I had more knee bending flexibility.I needed to wear the brace for my job and keep it on for extended periods. After wearing it for 12 hours straight the first time, there were a couple of spots that the skin was starting to get sore. I had to exchange for a larger size. I'm glad I did because I now have complete control over the fit and my knee feels much more supported with this proper fit. I'm new to the world of knee braces and I'm trying them to narrow down my issue so this is the 3rd brand I've tried and by far it's the best. I especially like that it fastens in the front. Back fastening-braces make it difficult to get a proper level of comfort and they tend to pinch or the velcro scratches if it's not attached perfectly, which is hard to do while working behind your knee! I'm really happy with this model, the construction is sturdy and it fastens quickly and comfortably. I think my measurement was 17" or 17.5" in diameter and 2xl fits beautifully.
Excellent product. I have used this brand before but needed to get a larger size for my sister, who has recently damaged her knee. This size has provided the extra width needed to get over her knee and the good support of the brace has given her the ability to walk with some degree of confidence again until her knee can be surgically repaired.

I have degenerative knee from an injury many years ago, and this is the first time that I have worn a knee brace.I received my knee brace last week at the same time that I started doing Cross Fit classes and have found that it provides a great deal of stability to my knee during the sessions. While playing, I had no noticeable issues with movement; I ran around the court the same as I always did before my injury. Several hours after coming home, I noticed no serious pain or adverse effects from the singles games; wow! Needless to say, the brace works great on the doubles matches I normally play; my knee feels almost normal again!I do sweat a lot under the brace, though itās not too noticeable while playing in it; more of a noticing when I take it off. The brace doesnāt slide off as easily as it slides on, but itās not a problem either; it just takes a little more effort to get off. My skin was a tad raw after taking the brace off the first couple of times, so Iāve learned to rub a little hand lotion on my leg before and after wearing the brace, and that solved the problem.The bottom line: the 429X has performed much better than I thought it would; I am a happy camper!
Excellent product. Supports the knee very well. The material is very soft and doesn't make the skin itch. Hinges are excellent and can be easily removed, thus making it very easy to wash. Hinges helps restricting the knee movement by not allowing it to bend too much until the muscles have gained their strength back. Over the course of two weeks, I could feel that I could bend my knee more than when I first started. Wear them with shorts though, much easier on a hot day. Would definitely recommend this product.
I Race cross country ISDE , hare scrambles, and GP motor cycle races. I had a crash two weekends ago, my left leg had a carbon fiber brace from a 15 year old ACL replacement and the Mcdavid brace on my right the crash was hard, I finally went in to get it ck out, and both knees made it thru. it will be a bit before I am back on the circuit, I will say the Mcdavid brace held up well and would highly recommend it, the carbon fiber supports on each side saved my knee.
