What do you say about a British staple. Aleays good and always tasty. Very expensive now though. If they increase by much more, they will come off my shopping list.

After reading the below review I checked to see if sustainable palm oil is used. United biscuits who own a number of biscuit brands including McVities use segregated sustainable palm oil which is certified and have done so for a few years. They really should state this in their description of the product like doves farm do. I nearly didn't buy these biscuits based on the below review so wanted to show some balance! The biscuits themselves very tasty. P.s. I have no links to the company or brand, I just can't stand bad reviews being left by people who don't use factual information!

Can't beat mcvities digestives.. they're so tasty and crumbly but not the point where they fall apart in your fingers. Great dunkerque too.

The recipe has changed and the biscuits are thinner and smaller - they don't taste as good and the bake isn't uniform - I've had overbaked and normal baked in one pack - i did some research and - this is hardly surprising as McVities was sold to United Biscuits who sold it to a Turkish company. I still buy them but they're just not McVities. The price increases regularly too. Am going to try Waitrose's....
These have been changed by McVities and what was my favourite biscuit by a country mile is now nasty. Soft, pale, claggy texture, doesn?t taste the same. I wrote to McVities last year in lockdown asking why they?d mess with a classic, they said something about a new facility producing them. No idea why you?d allow a classic product to come out completely different but they clearly aren?t worried since I bought them again yesterday for the first time in maybe a year and they remain terrible. I was hoping they?d have brought back the old version but seems they?re not too fussed people don?t like their products. M&S Digestives are much better than these bad McVities ones so now I get those, and won?t be bothering trying McVities ones again. Such a shame that they seem ... MoreThese have been changed by McVities and what was my favourite biscuit by a country mile is now nasty. Soft, pale, claggy texture, doesn?t taste the same. Ugh, these are not nice at all. I was looking forward to a biscuit break but had to throw these in the bin. They are just overbaked, very very brown. So they taste burnt and very unpleasant. Will have to go searching for some own-brand digestives instead.
When do big brands stop deforestation? There's palm oil in this product. I'd love Ocado to have a filter for 'deforestation' or 'palm oil'. Of course other products than palm oil also contribute, but palm oil is so common and easy to avoid that a filter like that would be helpful. Won't be buying McVities.
It's delicious and very satisfactory. I enjoy having as a snack by itself or with a cup of tea. It's fat content is reasonable so I can eat as much as I desire without feeling guilty.
Yup changed recipe and they are awful. We now buy Hovis but they have sold out for weeks because we cant be the only ones. Really disappointed by McVities. Ban Palm Oil.
Very nice delicious taste and not too sweet. Usually I buy these type of biscuits with chocolate for my kids . I always thought that with chocolate the taste would be better . No no with out chocolate the taste much better . Even my kids would choose now plain biscuits
