Also it obviously takes longer since I have to pump one breast at a time. I have only used this a month so can not speak much to the longevity yet but so far the suction is still great. They were "Okay" very convenient but didn't give me very much output , and then the suction just started suctioning less and less. I eventually had to replace . So I went looking for another pump and I seen these manual ones but I said to myself no way so I bought the portable evenflo ( which I DONT recommend at all) . Anyway the suction stopped working after about 2 weeks. So I went back to the store and had to get another. After reading the reviews on this one I said let me try it. I must say I LOVE IT. It takes me about 20 mins to empty both breast as opposing to about an hour with the electric ones and I get way more output about 3-5 ounces per breast. I have actually purchased 3 of these over the last 9 years, its been hands down, the best manual pump I have ever own. even after nursing 5 babies ( my suction requirement is pretty high) this pump holds up and literally pulls through every time. its my go to for clogged ducts and quick expression. I will note that if you ever lose suction on this its because under the clear silicone can collect moisture causing it to lose almost all suction, simply pull it apart dry it out (make sure its lint free as well!) and it will go back to full suction, I do recommend having 2 if you can afford it that way when and if the suction poops out during pumping you can simply switch pumps and after your pump session clean them etc.
