I've seen it range from $30-$20 and you get a rather large tube, especially compared to how small other brands of scar cream I've ordered have been. The gel absorbs into the skin very fast and easily. If you follow the directions and rub a small amount into the scar daily it lasts you a long time and works wonders!

Awesome is an understatement!

This product is Amazing!!! Just three months post op from an open heart surgery I started using this product on my hypertrophic sternum scar. Within 2 weeks I noticed improvement! The raised scar has started to flatten and the deep red has started to fade. Don't get me wrong it's not a miracle product. I still have a noticeable scar from a very invasive surgery but this product definitely has improved the overall look and texture. I intend continue issues throughout my first year of healing. I couldnt be more pleased!

Excellent!

this gel is a holy grail! I was always hesitant to buy it because it's really expensive for a small tube. but if you want to make yourself look better then it's better to spend.it won't work like magic, as how some people seems to think. it will take a lot of patience. I used it twice a day - morning and evening both after showers. I make sure that I have given it at least 5mins to dry. and after a month of rigorous applications, I can clearly see results! didn't completely fade my scars yet but the change is really noticeable.will keep using it and will update this review soon.

Lighten the scars

After applying it, I noticed the scent but it is very very light. The cream is more translucent and kind of watery. It goes on smoothly and does not leak or spill. It didn't 100% remove the discoloration from the burns/marks but for just 3 days it removed about 3 months of damage. I plan to use it more to try to completely return the damaged area to my original color.The efficacy of this cream seems to work consistently over time, especially on older scars. But for newer scars, it seems the first couple of days of applying it will do the most in terms of dramatic improvement. Afterward, the cream works. But slows down in terms of improvement compared to the first couple of uses.

Mederma Advanced Scar is worth it

I am posting a picture before/after a recent surgery, I had a cyst removed from my face. Before taking a pic on the day of surgery. I was obviously worried about scarring, and after reading a lot of reviews, i decided on this product. I'm glad I went with this gel instead of the silicone sheets, because it's on my face. I diligently used this product twice a day after cleansing. All the surgeon's staff were asking what I used on my scar when I came in for the follow up, they couldn't believe how amazing it looked! Hope the before/after pic helps. Mederma Advanced Scar is worth the money for not having a visible scar on my cheeks

No miracles but IT WORKS!

I've only been using this for 5 days and I can already see a very obvious improvement in my scar. I burned my face 3 months ago and the healing process has been slow. The burn was not a large area. Slightly smaller than a dime in diameter. The skin has an indentation and was bright red. It has been healing fine but slow.As soon as I began using this I noticed it was no longer red and turning a darker shade. I have fair skin and the scar is now fading into my skin. It will probably be another few months before it's completely faded but this stuff worked for me. It's $30 and worth a try! Be patient and be realistic. These things take some time but the product does what it claims. I wish I started using this right after the burn. However, it's still clearly working for me.I use before bed and in the morning after I rinse my face. I apply and rub into the skin with gentle pressure in a circular motion for a out 30 seconds. After it dries (5-10 min) I then apply my moisturizer with SPF30.It has a pleasant smell and it's not overpowering at all. Goes away quickly. Rinses off your hands easy too. Goes on like a gel but doesn't feel heavy at all. It seems water-based, which is good for absorption.Hope this helps someone!

Seems to be working

I was sent this product to test out complimentary in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I have a few recent scars that I wanted to try this out on. It’s a lightweight gel formula that dries down clear however it does leave a shiny sheen where the product was that didn’t go away. It it’s in a visible area I would opt to use it in the evening when I’m at home so it wasn’t noticeable. If I were to use it on the face during the day I would probably try a cream formula instead because that would diminish the look of it. All in all it seems to be working well and didn’t cause any adverse reactions or irritations. I also didn’t notice any smell which was nice.

Started this product February 10th 2022 and today is April 15th 2022. It’s been two month and five days and I am half way through my second tube. As you can see I have about 10 different areas on my legs that I use this product for and I also use it on three other small areas on my body. So if you’re just using it on a scar or two you won’t go through it as fast as I do. 1 tube a month for me. I feel like about a week ago I have just now seen a difference. The the most visible difference for me is the knife cut scar next to my knee, the other scars might be a slight lighting to them but nothing crazy. All my scars on my legs are about a year old. I have never experienced this while using this product and I’m not sure if that means it just now starting to work and if it’s normal. The peelings doesn’t worry me, it doesn’t hurt, no redness, and no drying so I will still continue to use in hopes that that just means it’s doing it things. Most good things don’t happen over night so just stick with it, it’s going to be a process but probably worth it in months to come. I do use this product once everyday, and I do have an autoimmune disease lupus so my body doesn’t heal fast like it use to and I’m 27. Also FYI it does dry and has a visible shine to it when it’s dried. I hope this information helps somebody!
