Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Serum 30 ml

This serum contains both hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, and is supposed to caml sensitive or heal damaged skin. Indeed, it does not sting or burn my eczema and dermatitis skin. Being oil free and fragrance free, it suits my sensitive oily acne skin nicely and does not cause any breakouts. Absorbing instantly despite its thick texture, it leaves my skin hydrated, and relatively plump. I strongly recommend that this serum should be used as a second layer after toner. Otherwise, with high concentration of hyaluronic acid and b5, you may feel that your skin is dehydrated. The last step should be moisturizer to lock everything. In short, it works nicely and noticeable results can be seen!

A good serum but.........

I have used this serum for a while now. Good serum to give dry skin a moisture boost especially in the colder months. Absorbs quickly. However this last bottle has changed. The previously colourless liquid now has a colour.......not sure I like that. Also the neck of the bottle has changed. The consistency of the serum seems thinner. Change isn't always good. This was a 5 star serum but now not so sure I'd recommend it.

Fabulous for dry skin

I was skeptical when my friend told me about this but this product is fabulous. I apply it directly to my skin right after showering and before I moisturize and it keeps your skin hydrated for a very long time. I also use this on the backs of my hands before I put on hand lotion, safe effect (hydrated skin hours longer than with just lotion). Fabulous product with a great velvety texture. A little of this goes a long way so probably the type of thing you only need to buy once a year. Excellent!

Great HA serum

I recently switched over from neocutis HA due to packaging issues (refer to my other review). This brand is new to me so I took a chance and was blown away at how effective this product is. I’ve noticed continual moisture throughout the day and increased skin firmness. I’m not used to tackiness so initially it took some getting used to but it absorbs quickly without any sticky residue. I have super sensitive combo skin that is highly reactive so I’m careful about the skincare products I keep in rotation. This serum is a keeper.

My staple serum

This is the only serum I keep repurchasing for over ten times already. It provides really good hydration. The ingredients are great, no alcohol, propylene glycol or other sort of «untasty» things. I also use it while practicing microcurrents and LED as it doesn’t contain oils so is suitable for these kinds of devices. The serum is neutral so can be used with active serums (retinol, vitamin C, niacinamide, acids). Love it.

Really Hydrating Serum

I was unsure about trialing this when i received it in my beauty box however i have been pleasantly surprised . It has a thick consistency and purple in colour , no strong or offensive smell which is always a bonus. It applies beautifully, sinking into the skin instantly leaving a dewy yet matt texture and very plump and smooth skin. It felt almost like an oil when i first applied but certainly not greasy and has been great so far on my combination skin when i was almost certain it may break me out . My skin has been very grateful for the extra hydration through the heat wave.

Stepping Into Adult Skincare

The best b5 serum I have tried

I used to use another expensive medical brand B5 serum, however due to cost I thought I would try this one instead as a little cheaper. I’m so glad I did. The serum is not sticky like the other brand I used to use. Goes on like silk to the skin and keeps me hydrated throughout the day. Just make sure you put on to damp skin to reap the full benefits. My sensitive reactive spot prone skin has had no reaction to this. Have been converted and will definitely repurchase this again.

Very good for skin, a must-have

I use a few drops prior to applying my makeup regime. It's a great addition to your skincare collection because it contains the most beneficial ingredients for younger-looking skin. I use this daily and also before bed, I use a different Hyaluronic acid product. I find these products impossible to live without if you want fresh-looking, plumped skin. They are expensive, which is the downside, but they save your face, neck, and decolletage from premature signs of aging.
