Mega Bloks - ABC Musical Train

We love fisher price toys. The toys have perfect details and are made with good quality materials. They are very durable. My son loved this toy when he was little. I was able to pass this onto my daughter as well.

A good option for younger toddlers

A good set, easy for my 1.5 year old to use. Nice colours, pictures and quality of blocks. I only wish it came with some sort of bag to keep the blocks in when not in use. Good price.

A very good purchase

It's early days but it looks to be a real hit. Our granddaughter was given it for her first birthday so at this age she loves to put the round ends in her mouth to chew but she's good at pulling apart any configurations which have been made for her. Just occasionally she's able to put pieces together. Her ability to click together the three parts of the train will come later. So it should last her a long time as she gets more confident at building and then in due course to learn the alphabet and colours. The size of the round ends is just right for holding and pulling with her small hands. There are two of each letter of the alphabet plus a few other seemingly random letters plus a few other designs which can be seen in the seller's pictures. Just so buyers know, the letters and other designs come on two sheets and need to be put on the blocks (bloks!) by the customer. Overall, a very good purchase.

Cute but can use some improvement

Pros: Cute and colorful alphabet train. All 26 letters are included. The newer version already have the letter printed on the blocks so no stickers involved. Easy for toddler to stack and build on top of the train. Cons: The connectors from one train part to the next is very weak. It easily disconnect/fall apart while my child is playing with it by pulling his train or taking it around the house. Hope there is some improvement on this for future build.

Engaging, learning, fun!

My daughter loves to build with blocks, and I love toys that are educational. Fischer-Price delivers on both with the ABC Musical Train. The interactive learning blocks reinforce her understanding of letters, but in imaginative play which keeps her entertained for hours! This is so helpful as we are preparing our daughter for pre-school. The blocks are easily manipulated with little fingers and they easily attach and detach without sticking. The blocks are also interchangeable with other Mega Blok toys. They stack up high without falling too- we couldn't be more pleased with the giggles and playtime fun!

Lots of Teachable Moments

This toy is perfect for little hands. The smokestack sound makes it a fun learning experience. It works with small motor skills and grows with your child as they learn their ABCs, counting blocks, and recognizing colors. A great toy for toddlers to grow and learn.

My son loves this! Hes interested in the mega blocks but not quite sure what to do with them. This train set helped a lot and hes starting to build with them and he loves pushing the button in the train to hear the song (likes it a little too much haha). He likes rolling the cars around and although theyre lightweight, they roll really well. One of the wheels popped off and we easily popped it right back on. Durable, mom and toddler approved.

Not as Advertised

This item is wrongly pictured and advertised. What you will be paying for is in fact a building-blocks-alphabet-learning train but it is NOT MUSICAL and it has 60 pieces instead of 50 as detailed here. In fact the train itself looks different too.I purchased TWO for the fact that it had sounds and it does certainly not. I thought I got the wrong item but upon going in to the store I was told that the item number matches that of the one on the website but somehow they are advertising the wrong thing. Sadly this review is not about the product itself but I thought some people might appreciate the heads up, I know I would have. I have uploaded pictures of the actual item that I received.

The head of the train plays a short music tone which my son loves. He tends to get the head and no one else is allowed to touch it. He likes playing the head to hear the short song it plays. Though he doesnt build the train himself, he enjoys pushing it together. My daughter built a high tower with both sets and placed the train head on top. So much can be done with the two sets. This set does not come with its own storage but it holds perfectly in the first builders bag allowing me to keep all the blocks together. This is the second set of these we have bought! We bought the first set a couple years ago and loved it so much that we wanted to add to it so we could make bigger trains and spell words with more letters. I would recommend buying other mega blocks to go with it too! The more the better! We love mega blocks! Theyre very durable. The first set we have hasnt cracked or faded anything. My 3 year old daughter finds all sorts of ways to play with it. She puts her tiny dolls on the train and builds letter towers on the train. But even a couple years ago when she was a baby she loved this set too. Its great for all ages!! And the battery on the musical train piece from our first set still hasnt died!
