These were a great addition to our daughter's toy kitchen. They are very realistic. My only complaint would be that some of them are quite heavy and are dangerous when launched by tiny toddler hands. Other than that, they're great. I have eaten several meals prepared by these!

My family loves Melissa and Doug products. Especially the veggies! My son has a play grill and he loves to grill up some good ol veggies for dinner! Amazing concept and great for the imagination. Will always buy this brand. Love the thought in making playtime so much fun
Here again, the only thing I would add is an enhanced variety of veggies along with doubles as you did with the strawberries.! This product is well made and realistic! My grandbabies put them in baskets and carry them around after they have "purchased" them from their store, and then serve them to the family on a tray! It is quite adorable!
My children got this for Christmas. The look of the product is great. However, I put this product in a storage container and when I opened it, there was this horrible noxious smell. I don't want my very young children to play with something and potentially put it in their mouth when it smells that noxious. God only know what chemicals are in it to give off such a horrible smell. I Will be throwing them out, what a waste of money.
I feel the size of the items, though realistic, is far too big for toddler’s hands. Not happy with that, as I can’t give it to my granddaughter yet. The size should be age appropriate. I have had to purchase other items that can be easily handled, and either hold this for a year or two or hope an older child, of friends, needs this for their own “kitchen”
These vegetables are not wood like other Melissa and Doug food items. However, these are not made out of cheap plastic. They are made with more durable, thicker plastic. My kids like to squeeze the life out of the cheap plastic ones until there is nothing but rubble left. They have been unable to do that to these. What is also nice is that the colors have not rubbed or scratched off. Great quality.
For starters, please understand that I consider play (and learning through play) to be a toddler's primary occupation. If you would like me to ask permission of my grandson's 'rents to share with you a < 1min video of how he plays with his pepper and banana, I'd be delighted to. Spoken language skills, gross motor (running AND dancing), and more.
These plastic vegetables and fruit by Melissa & Doug are very realistic looking and have nice vibrant colors. My 2 year old granddaughter loves them!
