It’s a water filter! Perhaps a bit pricey but they are supposed to last 2 months so probably on par with the likes of Brita. Would like to see a recycling scheme for them though and not end up in landfill but not referenced with the order.

Not received this yet but have had before (needs replacing). Lasted 2 months with a water tank refill most days. Guess approx. 1 litre filtered per day over 60 days. Quite a soft water area (kettles only need descaling rarely).

Purchased as a replacement filter for my Purista machine. These may be a little pricey compared with other filters available but I prefer to use genuine parts under guarantee.

I believe this to be a good product, and hopefully by changing the filters regularly it will protect the longevity of my coffee machine.

Seems to work fine; I just wish we could refill the filters rather than have all this plastic to dispose of.

Although I use only filtered water in my Melitta bean-to-cup machine, I always use one of these filters in the machine even though limescale is not much of a problem. Coffee always tastes smooth and pure with a perfect crema.

The filter fits perfectly in my Melitta coffee machine. It Does the job. So I recommend.

Better Water

We live in a hard water area, you only have to look at the kettle to see what it does, as far as we can tell these filters help improve the water going through the coffee machine and hopefully the coffee machine will last longer because of them. We've found them easy to use and they appear to do what they say they do. We do seem to get through them prettyt quickly, about 1 a month, we could reduce this but we like our coffee too much to do that. Seems like a great product and a descaler.co.uk provide a great service to keep us supplied.

Excellent response time

The Melitta filter is just a filter - no big deal. But my first time order was fulfilled amazingly quickly and with no fuss, so Alternative Brewing will be my supplier of choice for coffee machine consumables for when I next need them.
