I bought these for Electric Forest, a 5-day camping dance music festival and they were the best purchase of my entire weekend, including a bevvy of camping gear, etc. These are so comfortable to walk in, dance in, and stand in, I was SO glad I decided to get a pair to try out. I liked the styling and reviews said the foam material was nice, which is an understatement. They fit perfectly and they're comfortably snug without being binding. 11/10 footwear. (Buy 1/2 to 1 size under your gym shoe size, as you should always do with sandals, since you won't be wearing socks!)

if I could marry a shoe, Teva Hurricane would be my guy! I live in the water in Charleston South Carolina and these shoes have changed my life. I can run in the ocean without wondering what I might be stepping on. Sand does not collect inside like heavy water shoes, I can hose them off and wear them inside. More importantly, they are the most comfortable shoes ever! They are made large, but this is perfect because you don't feel them. I Wear a 7.5-8 and I bought a 7.I just bought my husband a pair, he loves them, its his first sandal that he can wear without pain. Thanks TEVA!

It's a shame - this product would easily be 5 stars if you could only adjust the front strap. Really poor design flaw. I guess I have "thin" feet up front because there's about half an inch of space between my skin and the front strap (and I'm a 6', 240lb weightlifter for context). I saw another review say that the pre-adjusted strap is too tight. I understand that the single ankle strap is appealing for easy on-and-off but this is definitely at the expense of poor fit for many foot types. I travel to Maine a lot and wouldn't be able to wear these in the rocky water nor on light, rocky trails. With all of the extra space flopping around up front I would likely catch the front material on a rock and trip, and that's what I bought these for, unfortunately. I love these sandals! They are great for wide feet like mine and I couldn't believe the cushion from the foam. It's like walking on pillows, except less awkward. I ordered a size up, even though the recommendation is to order a size down if you're between sizes, and i'm glad I did because the extra space actually guards my toes from accidentally scraping the ground or sharp brush i'm walking by. I definitely plan on ordering my next set of shoes from Teva. These sandals are perfect for both walking around town AND some light hiking on trails.
I wanted a comfortable sandal I could wear at and on the beach that would let the sand out as I walked to the ocean, along the ocean, etc. It also had to be supportive (re-occurring plantar fasciitus) and comfortable enough to go for 4 - 8 miles. As a comparison I have keens that work very well but he sand gets caught in them and eventually my Achilles tendon gets rubbed after a few miles. The Hurricane Drift are also made out of a sort rubbery material making it super easy to wash. So for those purposes and wearing casually around the house, shopping, etc they are fine. I would not wear them rock climbing of for more strenuous activity and they are not my normal "take a walk" shoes. They are exactly what I wanted and needed for the beach.
Due to chemo treatment I had sensitive foot and fallen toe nails. It was very hard to wear shoues. Hurricane drift allowed me to walk again while I recovered from my symptoms. Really happy to find this product. I can wear them with socks and travel safely.
I bought these as an ultralight shoe for backpacking/kayaking/bikepacking, to change into for camp (not for actual hiking). They weigh about 500 grams which is light but not as light as other EVA shoes (some weigh as little as half that). They do have a burly sole on them so probably last longer than other EVA shoes however - a major drawback of light EVA shoes. As being entirely EVA, they do not absorb water so can be wiped down with a cloth, so are easy to clean and dry. They were pretty comfy and easy to strap on. But they do seem to fit large. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 and found size 11 to be too large.

However, I read the reviews about their fit and should have listened. I wear a 9.5 in all shoes. I ordered a 9 after reading that they run large. Size 9 was HUGE on me. So I returned them via Teva's excellent return policy and ordered an 8. Those fit a little bit better, but still too large. There is way too much space between my toes and the front of the sandal and the front strap (which doesn't adjust) sits high above my foot. I will be returning these and will not try them again. These are so comfortable, lightweight and supportive. I wore them the whole week we were at the beach. Amazing for walking on the hot sand, and I didn't take them off when wading in the ocean. Protected from cutting my feet on broken seashells. They provide a surprising amount of arch support, which is incredible for my fallen arches. I wear a 7.5D (wide) in all my running sneakers and the women's size 6 fit perfectly. Also, the turquoise color is vibrant and fun!
A waterproof and comfortable sandal is actually a difficult task to find among this year's fashions, and with the competition - when you do finally find that, it does not come cheaply, nor does it seem to be designed for a snug secure fit. For those practical purposes which seem impossible to find all in one long term use sandal, look no further than the Teva hurricane drift here. Not only do I find this to be a snug, secure, comfortable, practical, waterproof, long lasting sandal, but reasonably affordable, too.
