In some ways these are the best trousers I have ever had. They don’t fit great around the top though.I think it may be because I asked for a 31 inch leg. The trousers have been altered perfectly to this length but from a pair that was a 34inch leg instead of 32.I am sure this has affected the fit above the leg making them slightly longer than someone my size would wear.I am still wearing them I just feel they could have been even better. I presume this was done as an excess in this size and the 32 inch waist and 32 inch leg being more popular.

Charles Tyrwhitt's products are undoubtedly the best quality I have ever experienced. Since I started wearing their high-quality shirts and chinos, I feel exceptionally special and comfortable. I regret not discovering them sooner. Moreover, the customer service at Brent Cross was outstanding. They expertly guided me in selecting the perfect size for me. I initially intended to purchase a single shirt but ended up buying eight shirts, along with several pairs of chinos. I am still contemplating making additional purchases.

I have been looking for a pair of dark grey chinos for quite some time. With the apparent popularity of chinos today, the choices are very bewildering. After reading several articles about chinos, I decided to ignore the so-called experts advice, and ordered the Slim Fit no-iron chinos from Charles Tyrwhitt in “basic” tan, French Navy blue, and light grey. I’m normal not a “slim fit” guy, even though I am tall and thin. I usually prefer the “classic” fit. However, after my first order, I became sold on these chinos. The fit is great for casual as well as dressier occasions. The construction, I believe, is equal to, or better than other popular brands. I bought these chinos for my husband's birthday in the 87/81 slim fit and he's very happy with them. I really appreciated the sizing and fit options available, especially the length. They're not super slim and hugging on the leg which my husband prefers and the fabric feels really good quality. The non iron and stain repellent features are still to be tested but it will be a good added bonus. The colour range is excellent, I bought navy and taupe. Both colours are accurate to the images shown online. Great for work or smart casual wear.
Not happy with these chinos at all. I purchased two pairs based on reviews, but the quality control is missing. Both pairs of chinos have ripped in two locations (outer leg and crotch) after only one wear, and they are not overly tight anywhere...The stitching simply seems to be subpar. The length was also inaccurate - I'm usually a 32/32 in all other pants, but these were more like 32/34's. The fabric is pretty alright, but kind ofthin and not as softas competitors. It does stretch, but really not in the right/comfortable way, so I'm left feeling a bit constricted. I find these significantly more uncomfortable than BR's or Bonobos' chinos. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if I was able to return them, but unfortunately I had both pairs professionally tailored ... MoreNot happy with these chinos at all. These will become painting pants I guess. Stick to their shirts
5'6-185lbs-34waist-26inseam. Tried slim and classic fit below is for both. These pants look and feel extremely well made for the price. Stitching was done with detail the fabric fits and falls nicely.I returned slim and classic fit because neither fit well for my large thighs and calves. Slim fit felt slightly closer to skinny fit side. Classic fit seemed 3x wider all around than slim and a true old classic fit. This has a great draping look that didn't seem to wrinkle in the normal places that you would see with a slim fit. If they had a middle fit, I would've purchased one of every color.
The number of chinos available for sale is mind boggling, it’s so difficult to decide who to purchase from. My main concern is how much natural fibers clothes are. I finally decided to purchase chinos from Charles Tyrwhitt based upon my experience with their shirts. Other brands have chinos that are too baggy or too tight. Following their guide, I chose the slim-fit. I’m glad I chose correctly. These are exactly what I’ve been looking for: not too tight and not too baggy. They look just right for dressing up with a jacket and tie. The selection of colors is also a deciding factor for me as well.
To start with, the chinos were a lot lighter in real life than they appear on line. While returning them I had a look at others to see if it was a one off - they all look significantly different in real life. For example the tan chinos have a mustard hue to them. But they were returned beause the fit was terrible. Having ordered a 32w 30l, my standard size, they were at least 2 inches too long with large amounts of material scrunched up around the ankle. But this was nothing compared to he large amounts of excess material around the zip, which ended up folding up on itself. It certainly wasn't the sleek fit shown in the photos online. The back of the chinos were apparently better, making it look like 2 different pairs of trousers - a normal 32 30 at the back - ... MoreTo start with, the chinos were a lot lighter in real life than they appear on line. I doubt they could have been tailored given where the excess material bunched up.Definitely not up to usual Tyrwhitt standards. Returned and I doubt I will be looking here for future trouser purchases.
