Took shoes for a 3 mile test on seasonal road, very comfortable except on ankles. Any uneven terrain they rubbed, would definitely cause a problem on my backpacking trips! Got home and checked on return policy to send back. Really bothered me, because I loved the shoes! Looked over the shoes and on the back side of the lower lug is a metal plate, this was the cause of the irritation on ankles…..,so I removed lugs and plates and ran laces through holes and relaced to top lugs. Problem solved!!!! I did same thing to my Merrill boots and never had an issue. Too bad this wasn’t addressed when making the boots.

I bought these for my husband and within 3 months they are coming apart. I based my decision to purchase on the reviews. Oh what a terrible mistake. I am going to take them back to see if they will accommodate me in some way

I bought these for my partner and he couldn’t say enough good things about them. In fact, he loved them so much, he ordered a second pair. Very comfortable out of the box, amazing tread and high quality workmanship.

Bought them for a back country hike in the Uintas Mtns, Utah, after about 20 miles the rubber around on the toe box gapped. By the end of the trip it had pulled away in multiple places and started to have sole separation. They allowed water in from the toe as a result. I would say the only trail these are made for are the paved ones… maybe.
Really satisfied with my purchase. Great shoes, did a lot of Hiking on challenging grounds and they are great. Good grip, no blisters and barely needed to break them in. Also great price quick delivery from Ekosport. Would buy again.
Loves the look of these, but I personally thought they ran a tad large and a tad narrow. I typically wear a 12 in Hoka, but these were a little too long and not quite wide enough. Great looking boots, though!
This is my second pair of Hokas. I also own the Mach 4 running shoe and after hundreds of miles I still love them and they are in great shape. These are probably the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They are more like a hybrid trail running shoe. in fact it's very easy to break into a jog on the trail with these on. They aren't going to be good for backpacking or any other type of rugged hiking, but for a comfortable, swift pair of day hiking boots you probably won't find anything better.
These are excellent light weight hikers, great traction, good ankle and heel support, and I found the toe box generous (size 9.5m). I really like the feel and function. A warning to anyone considering the new color hot sauce for online purchase. The color does not look at all close to the stock photos, the color is very pink and not red. I would have went with a different color had I seen it in person.
I was very impressed with this shoe when I received it! It is a beautiful well made shoe. However, it was narrow and I had to return it. I was very disappointed that it only comes in one width. I have owned several pair of Hokas and they all fit me perfectly
Absolutely love them. Helped take the pain away from my feet. Very comfortable. Love that they are waterproof. And light on the feet. Can do a 10 mile hike with ease.
