Mercer Culinary M20606 Genesis 6-Inch Forged Chef's Knife

This line of knives from Mercer are very exceptionally priced for the quality they deliver! I currently own the Genisis 8" Chef's Knife and the Genesis 8" Usuba, both are perfectly balanced with solid weight which creates a wonderful hand feel and delivers great stability while making cuts. I use these knives for pretty much everything on a daily basis and have yet to find any complaints. While exceptionally sharp out of the box, they are also very responsive to sharpening and honing after continuous use making them just like new again. These knives are real work horses and are very reasonably priced. I DEFINITELY recommend this line of knives to anyone who needs a comfortable, sharp, and durable utility knife that is perfect for home or commercial use!

This is a great knife! We bought it for our personal use, and have used it daily since purchasing. It's heavy enough to do the tough jobs, but it doesn't fatigue you to use it. The size is just right, blade doesn't have watermarks after washing, and it's extremely sharp!

Stronger than most knives. Very rigid and stiff, which is amazing on vegetables, and works like a really big pairing knife. This is exactly the kind of job I needed it for and it functions perfectly! Another hit from Mercer.

This knife works great for slicing and dicing. It slices easily, without having to apply a lot of pressure. The blade is very sharp and the handle fits well, even with small hands. I would recommend it.

I bought these as part of a chef's knives set a few years ago when I decided I really love cooking and wanted to take it to the next level. I love these knives. They are still super sharp. I hone and sharpen them once every 3 months and they are still as good as new. I cook 2 meals at least every day 7 days a week so they are used.

I love it so much, I have 2. This was a little post-holiday present to myself and I must admit, I have good taste. The one I use the most only gets sharpened as an afterthought and I have use to cut myself. I prefer a shorter chef's knife. I have small hands. So glad the offered the traditional chef's knife in the 6 in.

Great for the money.

Nice knife for the price. German steel assembled elsewhere. The size is a rarity. Mt chef hands as well as my wife's smaller hands both love it. Only one other company makes one that size. At twice the price if you ever see it. The rubberized handle is something else most like.
