Mermade Hair Pro Pink 25mm Waver

I bought this as I have always struggled to style my hair and I LOVE it! It’s super easy to use and pretty light weight. I was worried that this size was going to be too small, but honestly I think it’s perfect. I think the bigger size would be too big unless you have extremely long hair. My first time trying this was just a quick practice - and with no product in my hair these waves lasted for two days! Would 100% recommend this

This product is good, it works as it should. Trying to choose the correct barrel size was difficult, even based on the website information and reviews on YT. I think the wider barrel would be better, even though I have thinner/mid length hair. You have to fiddle around a little with holding it upside down in areas to avoid getting kinks in the hair. Comes with a glove which is very useful!

Absolutely Fabulous

I’m absolutely terrible at doing anything with my hair, but I bought this for my staff show in attempt to make my locks look lush… my sister in law and I laughed and fumbled our way through the process and possibly on the last patch of hair we went ‘oh ok cool that’s how you do it!’ My hair despite all odds looked fab for the staff do and I got a surprising amount of compliments! But the real winner was the next day, waves beautifully worn in with lovely messy lock that would have before been called a birds nest! Can absolutely recommend! But also suggest a dry run before you hit the town!I have shoulder length hair and this is the perfect size for my short hair! Enjoy lovelies!

Cumbersome-Multiple Design Flaws-Problematic

The “Mermade” Mini Pro Waver (25mm) is very Cumbersome to Use, with Multiple Design Flaws & is Extremely Problematic to Manoeuvre.1) It is very cumbersome & too large for easy handling & directional changes. The tool weighs approximately 500 grams & is 40 cm in length (including the very long handle) – it is also 11 cm in width. As it requires holding the tool static for at LEAST 4-5 seconds to effect a wave and about 25 minutes to do an entire head of mid length hair, this puts unnecessary & significant amount of strain on the wrist tendons, the fingers and the thumb for (essentially) nearly half an hour! This in turn of course adds further time and strain on the hand and wrist the longer it is held in that position & the more it’s manoeuvred.2) Another functional/design problem is that the lever itself is not smooth. It has a very sharp “waffle” style pattern which irritates the skin at the joint of the thumb (or forefinger) after using it over & over again for nearly 30 mins to complete the waving process. Very red & painful! The lever has been designed with a very high arch also so the thumb or forefinger has to reach up high in order to press the leaver down for the tong barrels to open. The lever of course has to be pressed a multitude of times throughout the nearly 30 mins of the waving process. This also further exacerbates the strain experienced in tendons & muscles.3) The other aspect of the design flaw is that the positioning of the temperature & on/off buttons are positioned at the top of the handle which is exactly where you hold the tool in order to be able to reach the lever. So what occurred was that I would inadvertently press on the buttons which either increased or decreased the temperature throughout the process without my being aware of it! So there were times where I would either nearly cook my hair where I had pressed the “increase” temp button & other times where the waving didn’t occur at all because I had unknowingly pressed the “decrease” temp button! So again, whilst trying to avoid the buttons but also trying to reach up to the leaver to open the tong barrels & positioning hair section on the plates without burning skin, there is prolonged and extensive strain on the hand, wrist & fingers.4) The heat glove is far too large for an average female hand and therefore there is too much space at the tips of the glove fingers. This extra material in the glove’s tip interferes with the sectioning process of the hair and effective handling, which means you have to stop the process, put the tool down, re-section the hair and again recommence carefully so that the problem doesn’t recur. Given this issue, the glove is rendered useless.5) There is a resting stand to keep the tongs up when not using the tool and away from touching other surfaces. Unfortunately, the stand folds all the way over and actually touches the barrels! So although it keeps the barrels off the resting surface the rubber that covers the stand is directly on the barrels! Therefore, over time this would most likely melt through to the metal! Very strange design construction!I only used this product twice and will be returning it to the store this week since the COVID Delta lockdowns have now lifted. Very disappointed with this tool and I must admit, very surprised that the design, construction and functionality of this product is so poor and was indicatively so very under-researched!! After having used a variety of styling tools for over 30 years, this is by far the WORST I have EVER used. This is a terrible product!!!

Great Product

The mini pro is actually a decent size which I wasn’t expecting so it was a nice surprise. The temperature can be adjusted to your liking which is good especially if you’re conscious of heat damage on your hair. I’ve got quite long hair but have been impressed with the results (first time using it) It creates beautiful wavy curls. I would 100% recommend this curler as it is easy to use, not too heavy to hold and creates the perfect beachy wave.

Great hair tool for mermaid waves

I purchased the 25mm waver for my above-shoulder length hair and get great results with this size. I'm still getting used to using it - getting the right angles and being super careful not to burn myself, so far so good. The included heat proof glove helps. One thing I do notice is when using the waver with the clamp side 'up' (i.e. barrels under the hair), I get a bit of a 'kink' in my hair at the top where the edge of the clamp sits. I don't notice this in the tutorial videos online, so may be an angle / practice issue for me. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Travel Tool

I bought this Pro Waver to tidy up my natural curly hair. I normally straighten but I do love curls and wave.I have been really pleased with the quick heating element as well as the results of smooth waves.I have been on a few trips lately in and out of pools with little time to spare straightening, so what I would do is a quick towel dry and then use the Mermaid Pro Waver to tidy my curls and keeping my beach holiday look and mood.

Waves that last for days

This is my second waver. My first one broke (the hinge plate broke, my only complaint). Apart from that, I love this styler. It heats quickly and once you’ve had a little practice, it produces great consistent waves. I recommend using a light styling product to assist in holding the wave. A light touch up every couple of days is all you need.This size is perfect for my thick shoulder length hair.

Works well on thick or fine hair.

I bought the Waver Mini PRO 25mm Hair Styler for my daughter who has thick long hair and I use it myself with shoulder length fine hair. Regardless of whether your hair is long, short, thick or fine we have found you get better, longer lasting results if you separate your hair into sections and use hairspray on each section before using the waver. Ideally use the day after washing your hair to keep the wave longer. The wave looks great on hair with highlights, they stand out more and they shine.

Firstly, the delivery of my pro waver was incredible, received within 28hours of ordering.Secondly, I absolutely love it!I was unsure which size to go for but decided against the smaller waver and even this was larger than I expected.I have long hair with a bit of a natural wave and I just love the look this gave my hair just after the first attempt of using it.I can only imagine what the result will be once I’ve got used to my waver and become a pro at mermade waving 💗
