I am very disappointed with these shoes. So much so that I may not buy Merrell again. I first started wearing Merrell brand shoes years ago when a friend of mine gave me a pair that did not fit her well and I fell in love. Since then, me and my husband have purchased quite a few. I love my Merrell hiking shoes and I needed to replace my Merrell trail shoes which had lasted me for two years with almost daily use. Unfortunately they had been discontinued so I purchased these. Tried them at home and for a short walk and they felt ok, but the first time I wore them for my 4 mile walk I thought maybe the discomfort on my left foot in particular was due to something else. Can´t believe they are in the market as Merrell.

These sneakers fit well on the length and width, and I love the colors, especially the practical fuchsia midsoles (I avoid white midsoles). However, just trying them in the house on carpet and hardwood floors could not convince me to keep them. I felt pressure on the TOP of my foot each time my foot was bending to step forward. Even completely loosening the laces to the maximum did not help. I think the pressure was located where the lacing panels are sewn down where they start, not allowing any stretch as one steps forward and the foot lifts up.I chose these shoes for the soft knit texture, but it did not help because of the way the lacing sides are sewn down, and therefore keep the foot constricted.Too bad because everything else was perfect, plus they look ... MoreThese sneakers fit well on the length and width, and I love the colors, especially the practical fuchsia midsoles (I avoid white midsoles). This lightweight âgym to trailâ shoe is a game changer for me. Years of pounding pavement have left my high arch feet demanding the support of an arch shank. It was beginning to look like Iâd have to wear hiking boots all the time â even for light walks and errands, no matter the summer heat! I tried so many gym shoes I canât count, only to find that no amount of cushy foam sole material could take the place of solid arch support. Enter the Bravada! Running errands, strolling an art fair, hiking a nature preserve trail â itâs all good in these lightweight, supportive shoes. Now I can save my Moab hikers for serious trails and weather. Thanks for putting an arch shank in a gym shoe, Merrrell!

For 45 years my husband has promised to take me to Alaska, so we went this July! I knew I would need a sturdy hiking shoe but wasnât interested in a heavy boot that took up too much suitcase room. We went salmon fishing and they recommended a waterproof, nonskid shoe. I looked at rubber boat boots but decided to spare the expense and hope my Merrellâs would do the trick. Iâm happy to report my feet stayed dry, even when they hosed down the boat and the traction was spot on. No slipping on a wet surface for this senior. I even received a compliment on their cool colors! Try them, youâll love them too. Great for lots of activities!
This is my second pair of Merrell Bravada shoes. The fit was perfect the first time around and I decided to purchase a second pair two years later hoping this second pair would fit equally well. I'm not one to buy shoes online, but decided to purchase this pair online and hope they'd be a good fit. The second pair fit perfect, just like the first pair! This tells me that Merrell shoes are a true to size fit and makes me happy. I wear my shoes for walking and for running errands. They're light weight and comfortable. I will most likely purchase this Merrell shoe again in the future.
I have two pairs of Merrell hiking shoes. One pair, bought for a Colorado hiking trip five years ago, is still in rotation. Another pair, bought in Summer 2023 for a fall hiking trip in Avignon France, is also in use. Because these two pairs are so comfortable, I bought the Bravada 2 trail shoe for, ironically, running indoors during winter with some strength training. I wanted a comfortable toe box and lots of cushioning so I could ease back into running. I like the heel loop that helps you get the shoe on quickly. I also wear these when I travel because they are so comfortable. Bonus, they go well with my standard travel outfit of leggings.
I ordered this pair of shoes online, was excited to receive it as it was my 3rd pair from this brand. A previous pair bought from the store, another bought online as I trusted the quality of the brand. Both pairs of high quality and comfortable for walking. Because of my trust in its quality, I did not immediately check the shoesâ quality on receipt, wore it immediately for work. A few days of wearing it, I was very disappointedâ heel tab/collar on the R shoe was almost an inch shorter than the L shoe. This pair shouldâve not passed quality control! I have worn it a few days when I noticed something was off as it caused a blister on my R heel⌠turns out the R heel tab was shorter and not properly done. I want to return the pair but returns policy say only unused ... MoreI ordered this pair of shoes online, was excited to receive it as it was my 3rd pair from this brand. I bought these to replace my beloved and long-lived Siren Edges. This time I was wanted something truly waterproof, and stable and grippy, but maybe just a little more runner-y, in case the inspiration hits to kick up my heels on the trail a little (Iâm a walker/hiker who dabbles in trail running - hoping for a shoe that can do it all, in rainy 4-season Vancouver weather). These ticked all the boxes. They feel stable and very grippy, and definitely more runner-ish than the Siren (i.e. softer landing, narrower, more flexible, less lateral stability), which is taking some getting used to but is actually what I wanted. They also have a more athletic-shoe look, which is maybe âcooler' in the street (than an obvious hiking shoe)? Anyway, I havenât tested the waterproof ... MoreI bought these to replace my beloved and long-lived Siren Edges. Overall the quality of the shoe is good and the color and appearance are both very nice. The only issue with this shoe I have found would be that the tongue of the shoe is definitely not the best design. It does tend to bunch up if not properly lined up and tied tight and will cause pain on the top of my foot. For that reason I would have returned them but unfortunately Merrillâs return policy regarding lightly worn shoes is not accepted. I would expect a brand that specializes in outdoor comfortable shoes would have a better return policy as a lot of issues with shoes require you to try them on and experience how they move with you. For the price of their products I do hope they will do better for their customers like myself who genuinely love the brand.
My last pair of Merrell's were a hiking shoe...it has been years since then because I turned to another brand for a few years. We were planning this trip and I wanted to be sure I had a comfortable shoe with a proper fit. What I liked about the Bravado 2 is I could get them in "wide" which was hard to find in the other brand I was using. Often times I felt my shoes were just too snug. I am in-between an 8.5 and 9, depending on the brand. I decided to order both the 8.5 and 9 in wide, planning to return the one that did not fit as well. I ended up keeping the 9 wide and they are soooo comfortable. During the 15 days in Egypt and Jordan there were times my shoes did not come off my feet for over 12 hours at a time. I must admit, that in Egypt, I was noting a strong foot odor after removing my shoes. It was very embarrassing, especially in the Cairo airport where they require the removal of shoes at security. Surprisingly, once we got to Jordan the odor went away. Could it have been the higher temperatures in Egypt that caused my feet to perspire? I don't know, but the odor was only temporary. We walked trails, miles of sandy, rocky surfaces, climbed sand dunes and the shoes gave me comfortable support. When we returned I washed them in the washing machine to get all the dirt out before using them here in the US. I air dried them and they look like new again. 9W is my size and Merrell has won me back!
