These new Moab 3s fit and feel great. True size - not running small or large or narrow or wide: Right right on. They were a Christmas present (to myself or maybe from Santa?) so I have been wearing them everywhere , hiking and vacationing in Washington State, and plan on wearing them to work with a wear and tear situation-rotation. I wore Moabs back 10 years ago and they held up for several years in multiple situations beyond hiking, but I then switched to some competition that proved to be...not as durable for more money, so I am happy to be putting one foot in front of the other in these Moab 3's.

I've been wearing Merrell Moab's (shoes and boots) for 20 years and although I'm not able to hit the trails as much anymore I'm still convinced these are the best hiking shoe for a man of 70 years that still regularly navigates the tricky cracks and unevenness of the concrete trails in my neighbor. I also credit them for helping me avoid my 3rd ankle surgery. This Moab 3 shoe is the most comfortable and supportive yet.My son is a nurse. On his feel 12 hours a day. Putting on some miles. He's hooked. He liked the look of my M-3's in Oyster/Chalk so much I didn't ask if he wanted a pair, just ordered them for him. They'll look and feel great on the job!

Was happy to see a new edition of Moab 3. I have a Moab 2 Gore-Tex that I really like and wanted a cooler shoe for summer. Ordered these in brindle/tea and am pleased to say that the color is a bit darker than what it seems on the website. The mesh is a sort of greenish and the leather is smooth and taupe. The midsole is not quite as soft and responsive as I thought it might be, but is still really comfortable. Put them on and went on a 3 mile walk with zero discomfort. I have a rather narrow foot and the Moab does a really nice job of securing one’s heel while providing a sufficiently wide toe box. I tried another brand recently that just found offered women’s size 12 about which reviews raved. Must say that I was disappointed. First off. The Moab 3’s are great shoes! But. If you have contrary feet like mine they may not live up to what your feet require. I wore them one time for about 3 hours. My feet were killing me! I used my insoles provided by my podiatrist too. I don’t know what I will do with them now. Hopefully I can find someone who can wear them whose feet don’t dictate what they wear. This is not a bad review on Merrell shoes. They have great products and styles. And in the past I have had wonderful experiences with them.
I use them as an all-around shoe both for hiking and heavy yard work. Ordered a half-size large and that fits perfectly. Leave the top lace a bit lose and they slip on/off easily. Plenty of support on the trail so long as its fairly even and ankle support isn't neccessary. Very comfortable and cool. Also seem rugged but time will tell.Only complaint is water goes right through them and they don't dry quickly. A few minutes walking through wet grass and your toes will be wet. Had to be a bit careful while paddling since they're not really made for pulling a canoe over a beaver a dam. Other than that, highly reccommended. I'd buy them again.
This is a solid update to the classic Moab. In some ways, it's even a little better. I know, heresy, but hear me out. The Moab 2s I had and loved were creaky and a little bulkier than I usually like. I took them as tradeoffs for comfort and stability, and happily wore them everywhere. These, in this color scheme, are a nice hybrid of hiker and sneaker, with all the perks of both. They are super comfortable and durable, but some of the bulk and all of the creak are gone. Super happy with these.
Wasn’t sure if they could actually improve the Moab 2 as it was and still is a great boot/shoe. The good news is that they didn’t screw up the Moab 3 in the update process now that Wolverine owns the brand. All of the great attributes of the Moab 2 are in the Moab 3. I do prefer the outsole tread design of the Moab 2, but the 3 works well thus far. We’ll see how the new, more open lug design holds up over time wear-wise and durability-wise because the Moab 2 outsoles are very durable and long wearing. All in all, they didn’t break something that worked and wasn’t broken.
After years, I finally wore out my old Moab hiking shoes! They had been to the Grand Canyon many times and tons of our rocky trails in Arizona. I just purchased another pair and they continue to amaze me on how reliable they are for hikes stretching over 17 hours a day! If you have serious hiking to do, don’t get the flimsy soles that other companies try to sell you because they are lighter. That is silly. You need the Moab that can go over the roughest terrain out there and will prevent you from paying for hiking shoes every 6 months, choose these instead. You will love them! I hope they continue to keep this shoe available to the hiking community!
Once I tried on this brand there was no turning back. I have owned countless pairs. I have my morning walk everyday in them and they last about eight months before I have to replace them because they are the only shoes I wear for activity. They are comfortable, sturdy, light and never give me blisters. My newest pair went to Thailand with me. Each time I order a new pair I get them in a different color. I love these shoes.
*pretty worm (i am from an hot state)* runs small so size up a half or a full size* if ur short they are great and addes about 3-4 cm* great durable metatrailsi bought the Moab 3 gore tex about 2 months ago, as a fashionable 15 year old with about 6 sneakers i was afraid that those hiking "dad" shoes wont look good. i can say that's isn't true, they're comfy, great material for hikes as well as an everyday shoe, great look and chunky that goes well with baggy clothes.they are a very good looking shoe with a build that u can count on and stable will still adding 4 cm rise in height witch really helps as a average Height teen.
