The product overall is pretty sweet. I wish it wasn't so heavy on your head, after a while you start to get a headache. The battery life needs an upgrade for sure and some of the graphics need improving. Most of us get motion sickness and some games we can't do. The design is sleek and modern. The controllers are easy to use. My kids love beat saber! Especially my 5-year-old. I personally love the fitness. I canceled my gym membership because this is actually fun and I'm getting better result although I think that has more to do with the fun factor and me doing it more consistently. Treated myself with this for Christmas and wasn’t sure how I’d like it or if it would give me 3D nausea like movies can do. All I can say is WOW I’m glad I did!! The virtual environment is such a unique experience and makes game play absolutely amazing! Quick set up, easy to use and game purchases are simple and quick! As for 3D nausea, I’ve not had any during game play, even during extended periods. I love the golf and football games, even the little games that introduce you the VR environment are funThe sound quality is more than I expected and add to the total immersion of the game. I would recommend an upgraded head strap especially for extended game play. If you’re on the fence about getting one, don’t hesitate!

You can experience many games socially, I just played mini golf with my son who also has this, he lives two hours away from me. By the way, as soon as my two adult sons tried mine, they immediately went out and each bought one. The downside is that It's one person gaming. It would be nice if developers made more games that let more people play on a single headset. The downsides are getting used to having the headset on your face for hours. Some of the experiences, like flying or riding on roller coasters, can make you a little whoosy. Finding yourself transported to the edge of a cliff can be a little visually stressful at first. I've read that keeping your time short on them, helps you acclimate to those games. Batteries will only hold a couple hour charge but I find that to be enough time for me. There are extra batteries or cords that can extend play. There also are things you can purchase to make the console more comfortable. I can see a person spending a bit more money on comfort and longevity. Everyone that's tried mine has enjoyed it and gone out and purchased one for themselves. I guess that says a lot!
Great VR headset unit! Graphics are amazing, lots of titles to choose from. Some free, mostly pay to play titles, great selection of subjects & topics.Still exploring all the hand and button controls, but fun trying!"Tight" around the head, but you get used to it, if you wear glasses, could be an issues w/ larger frames, I could not make theframe adapter work yet, still exploring options like purchasing smaller eye glass frames or getting the lens adapters thru MetaQuest.Sound quality is good, not sure if you need the optional headphones.The built-in battery does not last that long, so purchasing the portable battery option or the enhanced head strap on battery is a good idea.Have somebody video you when are playing, looks like you are dancing on steroids! Haha
This thing is the future of computing. However, because its maturity is still in the future, I feel like an early adopter and will have to live with the birthing pains. The ability to interface with a gaming computer is awesome, but having powerful standalone features and the breadth and depth of PC gaming options is clearly still in the future. That's ok. I can wait. More productivity apps such as MS Office would be very welcome but I can live with using Office 365 over the web browser for now.The stock headstrap gets to be a pain after a while, and it hurts my face and falls off (even flew off) with sweat and action. The focal point is not in the right position and the device is front/top heavy. You MUST lift and lower your head to look up and down. This is unnatural. Maybe I'm too old. I was excited and wanted to buy a second one of these. I figured I'd get used to the discomfort. Then came the NAUSEA. It was really interesting teleporting around in the game, in No Man's Sky, but I wanted an experience more close to the game itself or to reality, so I changed the movement system to smooth which is similar to the default when playing the game on desktop. I became INSTANTLY nauseated with motion sickness. Even after standing still, it was unbearable. I have not played with this thing since as I no longer have any interest due to the discomfort combined with the nausea. My son, who is technically too young for Meta to care about, absolutely loves it, and most of the games that you find in the store are geared toward his age group. Gorilla Tag, for example, is definitely for someone less than 13 yrs of age.Anyway, if it werent for the nausea, I would have given this 5 stars. My advice is to find someone with one and borrow it for a week and use it as much as possible. You'll know right away if it's right for you and you can potentially save a lot of money if you're like me and highly susceptible to motion sickness.

I haven't tried other movie apps but they exist.The sound is clear and immersive. The graphics and color is great, not blurry as with older VR setups. This was my first step into the VR world and I have really enjoyed it. It’s simple to set up and easy to get accustomed to in my opinion. There are a variety of games and applications to suit both adult and kid interests. I went ahead and got the elite strap to extend play time but I’ve never gone through a full charge anyway. However, the additional benefit of the dial on the back to fit or remove the unit, plus the center strap and batter to distribute weight more evenly are huge benefits. It functions in conjunction with an app that is required for setup and you can make purchases with via card or PayPal. It’s been a great experience overall so far. I would definitely recommend this product.
