MGI Zip X1 Motorised Golf Buggy - Black

Expecting to enjoy just a few more years golf and as a result of my push trolley failing I decided to go for this, less expensive, electric trolley. Easy to assemble. The wheels are marked Left and Right as they must be on the same marked sides of the trolley. I have found taking the wheels off (which incidentally is very easy to do) and using the shaft protectors which came in the original packaging the trolley rests upright taking very little space. I have the wheels in a shopping bag to eliminate mud in the car. The battery charges quickly and so far has completed my golf rounds. This trolley is excellent. We'll made and robust. Even though it's only an 18 hole battery I have played at least 25 holes before recharging, and it wasn't dead at that point.I especially like the fact that you can reverse the wheels for making smaller to fit in the car. I would and will be recommending the trolley to other golfers.

Really pleased with my new trolley so far. Manoeuvrable and stows away in the boot of my car between rounds. Great for getting up the hills on my course and easily lasts 18 holes on a full charge. Stowing the fourth ‘stability’ wheel is a bit of a faff after a muddy round, but guess this will be less of an issue as the ground gets firmer. I’ve marked down vfm, as all electric trolleys are over-priced, in my opinion.

I've now used my new trolley a couple of times. Just getting used to the speed settings which react a little differently to the Motocaddy I had before. I was a bit perplexed about the advice that the battery should be recharged every time you use the trolley, no matter how short the time. Advice also recommends that the battery should be left plugged in at all times. Seems a bit impractical but I shall follow the advice. On the plus side, the trolley is very quickly to put up and the battery is easy to attach to the trolley

A Real Back-saver

Gotta say I got a great deal on a great cart. have used it several times now and it is nothing short of fantastic. Lots of power and can be set for whatever walking speed you want, everything from dead-slow to full gallop! Battery life is long....fresh as can be after 18 holes. I haven't tried 27 holes yet. Its light , folds up nicely and is easy to recharge. Best yet, I'm still fresh after playing because I wasn't pushing, pulling or carrying anything. It is a great investment if you play a lot of golf (I play 3-4 times a week) and like to walk the course.

Functional Review

The x1 is a great electric cart for the money. It eliminates the pushing which makes the round even more enjoyable without all the bells and whistles. Our course is relatively flat so this was my main requirement and it does this very quietly. Removing the battery to recharge is easy and so is folding the cart for storage at my club. My only constructive comment is that while the push dial is easy to start/stop, it is too easy to change speed accidentally. There is no remote to deal with so using the cart is not stressful. I am totally happy and still have some monies to buy a new putter. Puetz Golf’s customer service was excellent and the cart arrived as promised.

Does exactly what I expected in a motorized cart and keeps it simple. Most of the time I can simply walk along beside or behind it as it motors along on its own, and when I do need to guide it, it takes one hand and very little effort. This is billed as an 'entry level' cart, but I have no idea why anyone feels they need a remote, as they cost much more and don't make the walk any easier than the X1 does. Everyone I've played with that has a motorized cart has dumped it a time or two. Loving it so far.

I've used "Barney" my new golf caddy 4 times thus far. I absolutely love it! It goes up the hills just fine and I no longer have to push a cart uphill. It takes some getting used to but I think I'm almost there. I forgot the battery once and had to turn around. I tend to forget to put the 4th wheel out at first. And then, I did have trouble getting the battery in so when I got home I read the instructions again and practiced and it was cake. I hesitated getting one because I thought it would be too heavy but it's not. I'm a 67 year young woman and I can handle it. It's a great buy for $700. I may have to buy the hand warmer for it.

Only used the Zip X1 a few times but so far it has excelled. Very smooth acceleration from very slow walking pace, up to nearly jogging, not required for me. Battery life seems good and the charging is fast. The trolly looks great and matches my bag perfectly. It is easy to erect and close with a bit of practice about 1 min for me. I clean it each time with a damp cloth, still looks great. The large LED display has 9 speeds and a charge indicator. Select your speed push the yellow button to go, press again to stop or adjust your speed on the fly. It folds up incredibly small, reversing the wheels to save space is genius, everything folds together nicely. Very happy with my purchase.
