I have had a few of these sorts of raincoats and for its price, this is excellent. It packs down to a very manageable size and has loads of features that make it compete favourably with more expensive jackets from an adjustable, stowaway hood and adjustable hem to good protection from the elements and reasonable breathability. If I'd change anything (or add) it would be that it stows into it's own pocket rather than into a sack (which risks being lost) but then I guess it wouldn't then be a 'Mac-in-a-sack'.

Really compact and light so easy to carry or fit into luggage without taking up much space. Perfect for if you want to carry something just in case you need it but don't want to be carrying a bulkier waterproof. The only thing I'd say is the sizing is big... I got an xxs but could have done with a smaller one, but they don't make a smaller size. I normally wear a size 6 in clothing. This jacket is fine but it is very roomy on me. Space for a thick Jumper or fleece in winter I suppose.My husband got one too and he had a little more sizing problems... He is tall and slim and the size small fit him perfectly except for the sleeves, which were way too short! He had to get a large size jacket in order for the sleeves to fit him properly.

A well-made, nicely fitting jacket. Lightweight and easy to pack. I like the Khaki colour. Haven’t had time to test the waterproof quality, but it is the same fine material as my Mac in Sac poncho. I’ve been pleased with its effectiveness for a year.
Very happy with my purchase.It's a really nice quality waterproof jacket, feels good and fits well.So light and convenient to pack and carry in its small bag. Bought for a hike and use it all the time now for walking & cycling.
Bought khaki in M after following size guide for my shape. Good quality fabric and zips, however sleeves a bit long on my 5'1" frame but I can live with that. Good that jacket has toggled elastic pull-up sides on hem that give it more shape otherwise looks too boxy on me. Good bottom coverage - always a bonus. Overall pleased with this as will be useful for my overseas trip later this year and also for Nordic walking on rainy days.
Hi,The green mac in a sec is great to leave it in the car.its not been raining so I assume it's waterproof.The only issue is the sleeves are a bit long would need it shortened. Apart with that the price was ok.RegardsNairb
Originally ordered the ocean blue colour but was quickly emailed to say it was out of stock and refunded. I chose another colour from the really good selection and this was in stock, not only that, I was refunded the shipping costs which was really nice. The jacket has proved itself to be waterproof as I wore it around Glentrool in Scotland whilst taking the dogs out on a wet rainy day! They are that good I got my husband one too! We also have the long waterproof coats for when the wetter Scottish days arrive!
Arrived very quickly. It is well made and fitted it well. I did order a size larger than my normal size to accommodate a fleece underneath and I'm pleased I did. I haven't used it yet, but so far I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Now the showery weather has returned my Origin happily sits in the corner of any bag, ready for action. It is so small but can be quickly repacked into its little sack. When shopping it is easy to slip off in warm shops. Good value.
