surf up in the north of the UK and have ridden on 6-8ft waves and right down to 1-2ft swells, and both green and white waves. I’m a bit overweight and I find a good 2ft wave on this is enough power to let me stand up. Its been amazing for my progression as it’s reactive and manoeuvrable. The only thing I would say is with the fins I would advise you to screw in some grubs, as the fins flex they pop out in wipeouts (lost a fin on the second day of use) and lots of local surfers advised putting them in fsc11 fins as it’s a common occurrence on our beach that they get lost (there is a community collection of them to rummage through to see if a dog walker has picked them up at low tide).
