This card came free with my purchase of a 400 GoPro. I went to San Diego and came back with all corrupt footage. Went home and formatted the card and went again next weekend, once again corrupt footage. This time I formatted the card from my GoPro and filmed in a smaller resolution. Went to a local swimming hole and filmed for the whole day, once again corrupt. Now Im waiting till I have time to go back to Best Buy and hopefully get it changed out. I understand these things happen but this thing has caused me so much grief.

The Sandisk Extreme line of SDHC Drives are my favorite. We use this one in our GoPro 3 black. I dont know how much vibration can play with the effectiveness of a mini SD but we have not had any problems with attaching our GoPro to our DJI Phantom and sending it hundreds of feet in the air. Although we do use an anti vibration mount for the camcorder, to prevent jello of the footage, I can still see this being a problem with parts that depend on contacts such as the SD card. No problems so far. Even when shooting 4K. Only problem, dont put it down on a cluttered desk, its to small for its own good. Unfortunately, I have had occasional issues using it in the adapter in a DSLR or the SD port in the computer, so I mainly use a card reader when dumping footage.

All this says, this chip I am recommending is a gold standard for current quality equipment.

For a photographer that takes well over 1000 photos everyday, 56 days a week, and has to pull the SD card in and out of cameras, readers, and computers repeatedly..... these little powerhouse cards have proven their worth as far as reliability and quality. I now have nearly 60 SD cards in my current daily use collection. About 4045 of them are SanDisk. Of those, over half are ExtremePlus like this or ExtremePro faster readwrite speeds. I have found that I am using the SanDisk ExtremePlus cards more often than any others due to their consistent speeds and the reliability I get from them is far above any others I have used. Their continued use fail rate is quite low, meaning, I can add 1200 photos, pull them off, format the card, and add 1200 more... day after day, ... MoreFor a photographer that takes well over 1000 photos everyday, 56 days a week, and has to pull the SD card in and out of cameras, readers, and computers repeatedly..... these little powerhouse cards have proven their worth as far as reliability and quality. I bought this after a 64gb wouldnt work in my new 2ds xl. Go figure. But works amazingly well in the Switch, and the same can be said about this card. I am a huge video game enthusiastcollector and use the card daily. I am always tinkering or playing with something and I carry two Nintendo 2DSs often and at least one daily. At work on brake Im playing it. If Im driving, its in sleep mode for the street pass function and while walking the pedometer. The 32 GB class u3 card is always in it, always running, and barely if ever turned off not powered on and is just as responsive as day one. No lag, no corrupted data, or your sd card unexpectedly ejected when they start to fail and It constantly has data written to and from it with no problems. Just good storage that works and works well. I dont worry having the knowledge my stuff is safe and secure I can just forget its there and never worry about running out of room. The price was so good, I shouldve bought a dozen more while I had the chance. If you need a new card because your old one is dying, corrupting your data or losing it, running slow or slowing down or just doesnt have the needed space anymore, get one of these. They are all around great cards.

I received the 520 promptly from BH. Upon opening the box I noticed that 2 of the items had already been opened and the packaging was torn. I am worried that the products have been used and are not new. I photographed these if needed. All other items where secure in mfr. wrappings. Hardware seemed in good shape without external wear and tear. Micros card installation was easy and camera accepted it with no problem. Camera turns on once plugged in. The manual is a bit of a light weight, not offering much in the way of instructions and practically no trouble shooting. This is important. My three main critiques are this 1. When I rotate the rear facing camera it feels, and sounds like there is a wire or something like flimsy plastic loose and rubbing internal. 2. ... MoreI received the 520 promptly from BH. My three main critiques are this 1. When I rotate the rear facing camera it feels, and sounds like there is a wire or something like flimsy plastic loose and rubbing internal. 2. Camera locked up on me one night. The red light stayed on even as I unplugged it and exchanged SD card. It stayed in for over an hour like the internal power was not releasing. Had to wait for it to shut off the next day. I missed recording a few rides due to this. 3. Infrared light is ok but not something to write home about. While it can reach to the back of my van, it lakes a wide peripheral angle and in super dark times it us not 100 effective. Front camera is ok too. Good quality but not for reading plates at night. Sound is good. Auto display shut off is a great feature. An exchange woukd make me feel more comfortable because of the sound in the rotating camera and the already opened packaging.

The memory card is overall a great choice. Fast read and write speeds. Price was fair as well. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I originally intended to use the card in my Dell Venue 8 7840 tablet but there were some software issues with my device unexpectedly removing the media. I think it is because of the SD class but I just swapped the 32gb card from my 3ds and am using the review card in my 3ds. The read speeds are much better taylored towards that device especially with comparing the card that was previously in it. Overall I am very happy with the card. Edit Ill just give it 5 s

SanDisk does not offer much help other than general information about the product line. The product number suggested by the SanDisk Product Compatibility finder for the device I was purchasing this for did not exist on SanDisk. To further muddy the waters, Walmart posted the model and manufacturer part numbers incorrectly. A very disorganized, confusing mess.

I love this new card. It has a lot of space. With my camera it holds up to 4000 pictures with no video. I know that seems like a lot to some people, but Im a shutter bug. Ive been known to take up to 1,500 pictures on vacation. Plus Im starting a photography business so I need the extra space. My old card would only hold 1000 pictures with no video. Its extremely annoying when you miss the perfect shot because you have to change out cards. This card has never slowed me down when Im taking pictures. They process very quickly in in the highest shutter speed. Not once have I had to wait for processing before taking another picture, even in high resolution areas. This is a great memory card and worth every penny for those how take a lot of picture or someone who needs the speed. Like when youre photographing children, because they never sit still long and its very easy to miss the shot you want. Plus if you use a high shutter speed you can get the shot even if they are wiggling around. Plus it easily transfers the photos to my computer with very little delay.

I primarily use SanDisk cards for my professional photography and havent really had any issues. This one, however, I used for two different sessions. When I tried to view certain images from the first session, it said file couldnt be found. It was only 2 or 3 of the images so I didnt worry too much about it. The second session which was later on that day, I specifically remember taking a number of images at one location, though only two actually showed up when reviewing the images later on. The numbering sequence skipped, showing that 12 images were just completely gone they didnt show up when I tried looking at them later on in the camera, so I know its not an issue with the card reader. I cant trust using the card anymore, so its going in the garbage. Waste of money. It was, however, quick at writing and reading, so as long as you dont get a dud, it should be a good card for you.
