Good product#; installation definitely needs improvement

We bought Microsoft 365 (Family subscription) to install on my Wife's new laptop and to update my very old version of Office.Although I consider my self fairly computer literate some stages of the installation were confusin. The worst challenge was trying to install Outlook to work with our ISP's email. The software offered many choices - none of which matched our needs and to multiply the confusion further we were being bombarded with other popups from the computer manufacturer, from our AntiVirus and a mcAfee pre-installed free trial. Eventually we found that the installation process had reset the port numbers for POP and SMTP ignoring the settings we entered only a few moments earlier. It did inherit & install email settings from the old version - but you need to be patient with Microsoft's idea of 'this will take a few moments'Now it is installed it is working well

The world has gone digital and faster than anyone could have imagined, but having Microsoft 365 already integrated within our company has made the transition seamless. We can achieve everything we ever could in person as we do remotely, if not more. I have only used this for opening my existing worksheets on my laptop. I don't like this online version of office as much as the stand-alone version. However, it does not eat up as much hard drive space.The one thing I was not happy with was the activation. I did not receive product key automatically with purchase, and it took way too long to have issue resolved. There was no way to get to a live person to generate product key. I was forced to go through electronic red tape, and 3 separate help desks before getting to a person who could help me.

I purchased Office 365 to go along with a new desktop. The installation was relatively easy, seeing as I was moving from Office 2016. The whole process was straightforward and everything opened as expected, as long as you had an account already established. The only real issue I had related to Outlook and getting it configured to accept/connect with existing profile definition. I don't think it was a problem with the product but rather establishing the connection based on IMAP or POP values. It's all greek to me since I'm more of a mainframe programmer than a PCer. Anyway, after quite a bit of trial/error, I was able to get Outlook to work and pull up my stored emails in the old PST file, as well as all the new queued up emails (400+)It was an "interesting" ... MoreI purchased Office 365 to go along with a new desktop.
