Ordered it yesterday, received it today and have been setting it up and trying it out. It seems to work fine by itself and also with the accessories like my signature type cover keyboard and fancy bluetooth mouse (knock on wood) and all round seems to be a really fast, responsive device. I have had a few 'teething problems' as with any PC but a few updates and restarts later have got it in a good place. I am overall very happy with the purchase. Thanks PBTech!

This is a light, portable, convenient, and reliable device, if you want to use it as an entertainment device such as web surfing and watching YouTube. However, as an over $1000 of laptop, it's failed. The response time is a tempo late, a lot of software's doesn't work properly. The compatability is not as good as like other regular laptops. Even you want to use 5G functions, you have to log on with Microsoft account but also you have to install an application for it.If you are a student or a heavy user, then buy other surface pro version without 5G function.

The 12 inch screen will definite suffice when surfing the net and doing simple question, however i use a 24 inch monitor while working via the mini display port. I would recommend the surface pen for tablet use, and a mouse when using for longer work periods. The surface keyboard for the surface series is all i need, but if you prefer you could easily use any bluetooth keyboard. I leave the power cable connected when working and the battery exceeds my needs when using as portable, i haven't timed it's drain frequency so i can't comment on the batter use under load. The only thing i would complain about it the lack of usb c, but that really isn't an issue since i don't own any usb c devices.

Great Performance, Only Downside is Battery
15 February 2023

When I purchased the device I wasn't expecting the highest processing power seeing that is equipped with a 1255U, but surprisingly the surface definitely is powerful enough for everything you are going to be doing on the Surface. Even when using the "Recommended" power mode it can do most things fine.Even playing some lighter 3D games was not a problem, as long as you are fine with not maxing out the settings, and changing the resolution from 2880 x 1920 down to a more reasonable size.My only negative is the battery life, having 10 cores on the surface can eat away at your battery pretty fast however using the power saving mode, turning off the dynamic refresh rate on the display, and managing the brightness seems to help quite a bit. Piece of junk!
21 July 2022

This tablet is a piece of junk! It won't even turn on. It did not come with the pencil or the cover like it was supposed to either. I am EXTREMELY frustrated and disappointed with this product and with Walmart selling this item as "certified refurbished". The only thing certified about this item is that its a certified piece of junk!! I will be returning this immediately and will not ever buy anything certified refurbished from Walmart ever again!

SQ WHAT???
25 January 2023

This computer is not worth the time. The SQ3 with ARM64 is so limited to apps even the amazon appstore is not worth getting because of it. I wanted to get a windows tablet and conputer into one that works with 5g but was disappointed that the apps I wanted was not available to get. Even the android emulator like bluestacks could not run on it as all emulators were for intel and the price? A BIG RIP OFF for what it is. My suggestion? Drop the sq arm64 and stick with intel just add 5g to intel cause for that price it aint worth buying a surface. Mind as well stick with my ipad or macbook pro cause this aint worth the price.

Surface Pro 5G is a winner!
4 January 2023

I purchased the Surface Pro 9 5G to replace my iPad Pro as my daily laptop/tablet. So far, the experience has been stellar. My iPad Pro 11" M1 has been listed for sale, and I am returning my iPad Pro 12.9" M2 + Magic Keyboard, which costs a ludicrous $1,800 out the door (5G enabled modeled).I'd also like to mention that when it comes to the reviews I read on this device, both with out-of-touch tech YouTubers and here on Best Buy, I think individuals need to do their research before making a purchase. I see complaints that specific applications do not work with the device, which is true because when you buy the SQ3 version, it runs an ARM processor, which has much less compatibility than devices running Intel/AMD processors with an x64/x86 architecture. I see complaints that specific applications do not work with the device, which is true because when you buy the SQ3 version, it runs an ARM processor, which has much less compatibility than devices running Intel/AMD processors with an x64/x86 architecture. So if you have some applications that are must-haves for you, check to see if the apps are compatible with ARM before buying and then complaining, saying it doesn't work. I'd also consider doing some research to improve your tablet experience on the Surface Pro. For example, 3 must-have apps for me (found in the Microsoft Store) are Legere, Awesome Tube (aka A-Tube), and Gesture Sign. The first two apps are lightweight alternatives with tablet interfaces in mind for Reddit and YouTube rather than using the website. Gesure Sign allows you to create and add gestures to help you navigate the OS. With that being said, we can move on to the review. What I love about the Surface Pro 9 5G:1. Gorgeous display. 120hz is a plus, especially since all my devices (except my TVs) run at 120/165hz. The display is smooth enough with 60hz for me not to notice the difference, which is saying something. Apple is the only manufacturer I've seen pull off these smooth 60hz screens.2. 5G connectivity. Having a laptop that doubles as a tablet and staying connected to the internet at all times is fantastic. Thankfully I already had an active tablet line with my carrier, so popping the SIM card out of my iPad and into my Surface worked without any issues.3. Battery life is FANTASTIC. Depending on what you're doing, you can easily pull off 12 hours of mixed usage with this thing.4. Cool to the touch and silent. The fanless design of the SQ3 Surface Pro 9 is fanless, which keeps the device silent at all times, and it runs very coolly to the touch.5. Webcam is much improved from what I remember when I last used a Surface Pro (the Surface Pro 7). The webcam is so crisp, and the SQ3 brings many features that I most likely won't use but are lovely to have and practical.6. The ability to switch out the SSD is a great addition. I am not sure if you could do this on other Surface Pro models, but I love that I can do it on this one!7. SQ3 is snappy. The OS is fast in boot speeds, navigation, and waking the device from sleep.--What I don't love:1. I think the experience of using the device with the keyboard attached to the lap could be better. It's not bad, but it could be better.2. Not the product's fault, but it would be nice to see Microsoft work harder to improve the tablet experience. Windows 11 still isn't the best operating system for using full touchscreen and gestures without a keyboard/mouse/trackpad.3. I wish the base model came with 16GB of RAM. Thankfully, much of my workflow consists of Word documents and programs that are accessed via the browser, but if you do any tasks that require you to have a billion apps open, you should step up to the 16GB version. That's about it for my negatives. Can't complain; I can only nitpick, which is awesome! The Surface Pro 9 5G is a winner!

Terrible and cheaply made product!
24 January 2019

First of all, I first purchased this product when it came out. Not even a year later I took it out of my bag after coming back from class and there was a crack on the screen (it was small so I didn't think it was too big of a deal). I didn't even drop it or anything, so I have absolutely no idea how it happened. As it turns out, even with a small hairline of a crack the touch screen becomes obsolete. I decided to take it to the Microsoft store, unfortunately, it was less than a month out of warranty so there was "nothing they could do". They were extremely rude and told me I would have to purchase a NEW one since they don't have an option to replace the screen. This product was $1200 initially when I purchased it. They were extremely rude and told me I would have to purchase a NEW one since they don't have an option to replace the screen. This product was $1200 initially when I purchased it. I told them that is absolutely ridiculous that they don't have a way to replace the screen on such an expensive device. As I was about to leave one of the workers approached me and told me they can replace it with a refurbished device for cheaper. I've had negative experiences in the past with refurbished devices (phones) so I was weary but it wasn't with a Microsoft product so I considered it. He told me it would be $500 to replace it. I'm in college, I work part-time an that was literally all I had in my bank account and the new semester was starting the next day so I told him that I'll think about it.Fast forward to about a month later, my boyfriend knew that I really needed the surface for my class since I was taking a class that involved Photoshop so he told me he could give me a little bit to help me out. Both of us went back to the SAME store and guess what? It was now $600 to replace it for the refurbished device.Relunctly I forked over $600 since I really needed the device for school. I get home and the volume button isn't working.... frustrated I didn't even bother pursuing it since I knew it'd be useless. To prevent anything from happening to this again, I purchased a case, a screen protector and made sure it was always in its own case before I put it in my backpack.I went on a trip the following semester and I brought it with me to work on some things while on the long flight, no issues going there and it was fine when I was at my destination. On the way home, again I took it out on the flight to use it, no issues. I get back home and take it out of my backpack and guess what happened again.....another hairline fracture but this time across the entire screen. I am not forking over another $600 to replace this device, it is absolutely ridiculous how fragile and cheap this product is made... Not worth it!!! Never will purchase another Microsoft product again, ever.

The portability is amazing & faster than expected

The surface go is amazing for what it is. I am a student who exchanged my Macbook 12 inch, and i picked up the surface go as the Macbook just didn't have the features I truly needed.First of all, the ultra portable form factor is awesome, and I also bought the keyboard cover and pen to go along with it and it works much better than I had expected it to work. My desktop is what I use for speed, power, and gaming so my expectations for this little thing weren't too high, but in high performance mode it runs very well. The drawing features and highlighting tools really do make productivity tools feel fresh and it is like I am learning something new within windows for the first time in a while. It just feels like I have more options to do my work than the macbook ever allowed me to have. This device IS NOT for everybody. Do not buy it if you expect it to run any games or any other super heavy workloads. It is perfect for someone else like me, who wants something ultra portable and decently fast for the price, while still being a very high quality product.

Windows 11 on Surface Pro9

What an improvemenf on an earlier Surface Pro but Jvthink the extra memory and storage helps a lot; this is very quick and super easy to set up and transfer settings from my other device using my M365 and Google accounts. Love the new Windows 11 as it synchronised well with my Android phone too and allows me to use apps like WhatsApp on this tablet. It doesn't run hot unlike my earlier Surface Pro and the sound is pretty good too. Overall very happy. A keyboard advertised for the Pro 8 connected easily during setup. I also had to puchase a Tyoe C USB multi adaptor to connect my headphones as there is no Phono connection and to connect a USB spare monitor I use regularly. Overall, very happy.
