Microsoft Windows 11 Home Retail 64-bit USB

W11 sucks, with less options and a more simplified system than previous versions. The forced multi-app web connectivity makes it slower than previous editions and it's quite invasive overall. What do you expect from a globalist eugenicist though?

It's windows, on a stick, in a box, not really overly impressive.. the ease and speed of buying it and getting it to me however, that was impressive.

21st century tech

up-to-date tech, clean install and it's pretty much straightforward.

Microsoft shoot themselves in the foot again.

I had similar experiences to the review by Bran100.Given that this should be the only method of a fresh OS install on a virgin built machine that doesn't prerequisite another windows installation or an increasingly legacy optical drive, it does not work.DO NOT BUY!! Unless you just want the product key for £1-2 cheaperYou will have to get access to another pc and create an ISO anyway.

Problematic for Custom Build

Built a computer at Christmas and immediately experienced problems installing windows using this usb drive which was bought on the assumption it would make the process of installing windows simpler.Initially I simply received an error saying the pc was not compatible with windows which was not the case. Some reading/youtubing later I discovered secure boot must be enabled in addition to a TMP solution to be deemed compatible however this prevented the usb booting all together. After a few hours of going back and forth it clicked that the usb may be MBR partitioned which it was. For those this will be new to. Drives in windows are Partitioned as either MBR or GPT (note this is separate to the files system) and MBR is not bootable with secure boot enabled. The ... MoreBuilt a computer at Christmas and immediately experienced problems installing windows using this usb drive which was bought on the assumption it would make the process of installing windows simpler.Initially I simply received an error saying the pc was not compatible with windows which was not the case. Some reading/youtubing later I discovered secure boot must be enabled in addition to a TMP solution to be deemed compatible however this prevented the usb booting all together. After a few hours of going back and forth it clicked that the usb may be MBR partitioned which it was. However it should go without saying this made for a greatly frustrating experience getting the new pc running.

Returned as this is an upgrade only

I had to return this to OW, as I needed it as a new Windows installation for Parallels on my new MacBook. It's only when you have opened the box and taken out the slim booklet buried inside a sleeve that you can read the small print that states the .exe file will NOT work unless there is an existing installation of Windows on the computer. This is not Officeworks' fault, as there is no indication of this limitation anywhere on the outside of the box, so this a Microsoft Fail. Really bad packaging design. Officeworks did kindly give me a refund.

USB works fine, Windows just sucks.

For whatever reason, Microsoft decided that you had to have an internet connection when setting up Windows 11. Due to no wifi or ethernet drivers being installed, I very nearly couldn't install Windows. I was lucky to have an extra dongle around that did not require drivers to work.
