Miele 9kg/5kg Washer Dryer Combo WTW870WPM

I bought this washer-dryer two months ago and was initially blown away by how good it was. It washed and dryed items extremely quickly and at a very high quality.Unfortunately, only two months in, my machine got a fatal error. I called Miele customer support - was on hold 50 minutes - but generally, the support was helpful and they organised a technician to come a week from then. I called Miele, again 50 minutes wait, only to be told to call in a couple of hours as there is a delay between when the technician leaves and the notes appearing in their system. I repeated the process - again 50 minutes - and was told they could explore a replacement machine - I was relieved as I thought, great 2 weeks without a washer, not a month - I could live with this.To cut a long story short, no one from Miele ever followed up with me after this call and I was required to persistently call Miele upwards of 10 further times - always with tedious hold times (>40 mins). On "replacement" day (today), I was sent a text they would arrive between 11am and 2pm, but it's now the end of the day, no one from Miele has reached out and I'm still washer-less.It's now been 20 days without a washing machine, this was a big investment and I thought I was buying something that would last many years, and there is no clear resolution in sight, and everyone from Miele points me to another person.While the machine itself might be good - it's clearly not built well, or at least their quality assurance is lacking and the customer service is genuinely some of the worst I've ever seen.

Washes really well and clothes smell fresh after the dryer too. The washer/dryer assistant means everyone can use the machine. Couple of teething issues in the machine set up, but now works perfectly.

I had a W828 Washer and Condenser Dryer stack from 2001 that lasted 20 years before problems set in, so I had no hesitation buying another Miele, my staple wash was the 40 odd minute fast wash cycle which I attempted with the new combo, it spin dries on most occasions right at the end of the program yet sometimes it does not ( a 1600rpm semi dry) which is puzzling. I tried drying, yet this machine does not appear to have a auto detect finish and the garments are still damp even after one hour or so, I would have to say that this machine at $4k leaves a lot to be desired.
