An amazing vacuum

It is a GREAT vacuum. When looking for a vacuum I wanted something that would be built to last, pleasant to use, be bagless and have a dust filter. While I am not allergic, I am definitely sensitive. Since we have two cats, the hair pick-up head was right on point as well. This vacuum satisfied all of the points above and more. It is relatively light - I can vacuum carrying it around in one hand rather than having it sit on the floor. The vortex dust collector is actually an assembly of three different parts capturing different sizes and types of particles. Brushes are well-adapted for their tasks (especially the hardwood floor one) and the small brush that you can just slide out when you remove the hard tube is so practical. The filtration on this vacuum is so good that when I vacuum the pm 2.5 particle count goes down. And did I mention that filter is washable? Overall, an amazing product and is 100% worth the money.

Pros Excellent power. Unrivalled on carpet. We purchased this model even though we dont have a pet, as we have dust allergies and have found this to exceed expectations and is far more effective than another major brand. The swivel wheels make it easy to manoeuvre and its easy to switch accessories. The power level control is also a great feature. We have found that suction reaches into the edges on both hard and carpeted surfaces.Cons The turbo head is not suitable for hard floors, so homes with a mix of tile and carpet will require switching heads between each surface. It is possible to use the standard head on both surfaces however, this detracts from the performance on carpet, where the turbo head excels. The on/off and cord retractor buttons are soft touch and we have found that on occasion, when the flexible hose makes contact, it can activate these buttons.Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again as it far exceeds the cleaning power of any vacuum cleaner we have owned before on all surfaces..

Expensive yet cheap quality and fragile
23 August 2022

We purchased this product after seeing all the positive reviews and unfortunately it has been nothing but a headache for us. As soon as we got the product home we unboxed it and found the integrated brush on the handle was broken with bits of plastic and bristles falling out into the box. After taking it back to the store (Harvey Norman, Joondalup) they were quite shocked and apologetic and ultimately gave us a replacement. However, one month after using the replacement, the clip that secures the handle to the telescopic bar broke so it would no longer hold the telescopic bar in place. I reached out initially to Miele and received no response, which is quite frankly not good enough. We have now received the replacement part and after the very first use the clip has broken again! We initially thought we were unlucky and received a bad batch that must have been damaged in transport but now for this to happen 3 times in as many months, we are staggered by how cheap the quality of the plastic attachments are, especially given the price point. This has completely put us off Miele!

I replaced my trusty old Dyson.
10 December 2022

I needed to replace my 15 year old Dyson vacuum that still worked well, but the new cord that I had just replaced on it broke. So I thought that it was time to buy a new vacuum cleaner. I had seen good reviews online for the Miele and I also have an indoor cat and I dislike animal hair throughout the house or even on clothing! I was convinced that nothing could replace my old Dyson. The Miele does just as good of a job, but is also more convenient that I can go right under the beds and much easier to carry than my large Dyson. It is easy to move from carpet and replace the head for vinyl floors. I find that it does a really good job on the fabric couches as well. I love the suction on it and I prefer to have bagless so this works well for me. Miele Blizzard Cat & Dog Bagless Vacuum cleaner

I am very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner. The suction is very good, in fact impressive. It doesn't feel that heavy to carry. The only criticism I have, which is similar to other person's comments, is that the soft furnishings brush is attached to the handle which means that you cannot clean cobwebs at cornice height - to get over this I intend to buy another soft furnishings brush (perhaps a different brand) to attach to the extendable end; hopefully, I can find one that fits. I honestly love my Miele vacuum cleaner which now makes vacuuming more pleasurable. The dust collecting bin is quite large, which means you only have to empty when you finished vacuuming and not during. My first Miele
31 August 2022

Thought no less to make sure we buy a Miele as the preferred and much desired vacuum cleaner . The suction is superb The machine is overall aesthetically pleasing to look at The dirt canister is user friendly and has a large capacity , ticks that box too . However, the push- pull of the telescopic handle with designated hand - bar is . We find quite awkward and somewhat heavy . Also the minuscule brush head part ( already attached ) is upper inconvenient and so I have found an attachment from a different vacuum which fits our purpose and I use that brush instead .Oh well - u win and u lose fact of life Overall for the money we paid probably I would say its toooo expensive but at least it has incredible suction and a decent size power cord too

Quality vacuum
23 June 2022

After years of being a Dyson fan, I finally gave them the flick!! My first Dyson was indestrucable, only blew up recently after10 or more years!! I purchased several more only to very disappointed with the quality and performance. Frustrated I have switched to the Miele (German made) So far very happy. Quieter, doesn't scratch my timber floors, doesn't make a high pitch squeal like my Dyson. Love the turbo brush for the carpet mats. (hair and string fibres get trapped in the spinning brush that you have to cut out with scissors) Only down fall!! quality made vacuum, bag free, easy empty. would recommend to buy.

Susannah's review of Miele CX1POWERLINE Bagless Vacuum Cleaner - Tech Blue
2 June 2022

Pros: No expensive bags to buy. Mains operated so battery doesn't run out every five minutes. Handle on pole comfortable. Canister pulls around effortlessly. Very strong construction of the casing. Tools slide into place smoothly. Turbo tool for carpets does a thorough job. Cons: The yellow clip on dust bin has to be fully engaged with thumbnail (to the right) after closing the bin, just to make sure it is tight and secure ... but that isn't a problem really. The canister is fairly heavy but that doesn't matter as you push the pole not the whole unit, and the canister is not too heavy to carry upstairs.

Will never buy a Dyson again
27 November 2022

I own 3 Dysons but have grown incredibly frustrated by this brand. When they stopped making canister vacuums in favor of handheld, they basically said goodbye customers who have more than 50m2 to clean. Their devices are efficient, but very noisy, heavy, and the batteries don't last long. Also I'm having trouble finding spare parts. This Miele is a total game changer. The build quality is incredible! It makes much less noise and the brushes are super convenient. I will never go back for sure.
