It’s quieter than my last one, lighter and it’s perfect. The only design feature I would change is to fit the extra attachments inside the machine instead of dangling around the hose pipe. I have bought lower end brand name vacuums for years, none of them lasted as long as I'd hoped. My last vacuum died after only a year, I decided it would probably be cheaper in the long run to buy a good vacuum that will last a long time. This thing is built solid, from high quality plastic from precision molds. The fit and finish is impeccable. It's very quiet, the power switch is high quality, and the cord retract actually works. This one has all of the hallmarks of my grandparent's vacuum that they had for decades.

Been using this for 2 weeks now. So far so good. This does not have a telescopic handle but it’s not a problem at all. First time to use a bagged vacuum and I’m happy everything is contained and I don’t have to wash the canister like my old vacuum. Great suction! I’m hoping this will last longer than our previous vacuum.

This is an excellent vacuum! I only have bare floors and a bit of carpet on the stairs, so I can’t speak to how well the power head would work on a full house of carpet. However it cleaned my carpeted stairs really well. It’s as lightweight as my previous cheap vacuum (five flights of stairs in my house, a lightweight vacuum is imperative) but it has the suction of a heavy duty vacuum. Unit feels solid and well made, I’m really happy with it. Suction is way better than my Dyson was!
Excellent! Not great for longer carpet, but it’ll still do the trick. I use this within my own home but also for my residential home cleaning business. The accessory attachments included are effective and easy to use. Highly recommend this vacuum to those who have mostly hard floors and/or short carpet pile height.
Replaced an old stand up vacuum for my Airbnb unit. Hardwood and tile floor, no carpets. Massive improvement over the old vacuum. The housecleaning gave it two thumbs up, and me too. I like the retractable cord, nice add on. Has made me think about upgrading for my house vacuum too.

I was happy to find this special model on sale only online. The local store staff was so courteous in helping me order online and use a 20% off coupon, so instead of the 199 sale price, it only cost 179. (So it is possible to use a coupon online, with help from the local store.) Although I have not had the miele long enough to test the durability, I know that this model is exactly what I need. The retractable cord is wonderful, and the motor is so quiet that it does not scare my dog. The 2 different large floor tools work well on my house carpet and tile, and also on my silk Chinese rug. (My upright never worked well on the tile with the recessed grout.) I have not yet used the small tools. The weight and maneuverability of the miele makes it perfect for my limited strength. I do not even have to take it apart after use, because there is a slot on the side to slide and park the whole telescoping wand still attached to the hose. My only complaint is that the silver labels for the functions control do not have enough contrast against the grey for my baby boomer eyes. I need to use a flashlight to see to change from slow to high suction. On high, the suction is so great that I have to use the tile attachment for my Chinese rug. I know now why all of the German housewives preferred cannister vacuums. I do not have stairs, but it is still the best model for me. German designs are always so thoroughly functional.

I am comparing it to one other top brand that I've had in the past, and this vacuum is SOOO much better. I use this Miele C1 Classic on 3 different surfaces; carpets, tiles and floating floors and it copes with the variety seemlessly , the suction is amazing , I don't even need to set it on max to get a great clean. The vacuum itself has a great guide on approximate strengths to use for different surfaces right next to the intensity dial, and you simply turn the dial to set. It was so stiff that I only realised that the suction tube was telescopic when I read it in the instruction manual. Luckily parts were interchangeable with my old model so I've switched back using parts from my original which has given me more flexibility. This thing does NOT mess around (sorry bad pun). The vacuum is lightweight and is very easy to move around on it's rotating wheels. The various applications work really well. I put it on the Max setting and it lifted the carpet up slightly. No dirt escapes this little beast. Only downside is the telescopic rod (hard metal hose part) doesn't seem to extend and shorten like my old Miele model. I'm short, so it's a bit frustrating. but not a dealbreaker. I've use the old rod to help suit my height. Very happy with results everytime I use it.
